Author’s Notes: The aliens can drink without getting screwed up. I’m starting this story the August before everything on the show happens. In the prologue Liz hasn’t been shot. Mr. and Mrs. Evans are Charisma’s parents (Cause I didn’t name them and they aren’t in it much) and Diane and Phillip are Max and Isabel’s parents.

August 1st, 1999
Santa Fe, New Mexico
Charisma Evans stared out the large window of the Santa Fe airport and sighed. She was moving To Los Angelas because of her Dad’s new job, and Charisma hated it! She had lived in Roswell, New Mexico her whole life. Her cousins and best friends Max and Isabel Evans lived in Roswell, as well as her boyfriend, Michael Guerin. She didn’t want to leave them. She didn’t want to be alone.
She didn’t want to leave her boyfriend, she loved him more than anything in the world and being apart from him would be complete hell. Charisma was only 15 but she had grown up fast. Charisma, Michael, Max, and Isabel believed that they were in the 1947 UFO crash. In 1990 they had come out of these pod things in the middle of the desert. After that Isabel and Max were adopted by Phillip and Diane Evans and Holly was adopted by Phillip’s brother and sister-in-law. They had grown up together and in third grade, they met Michael. The four had become inseperable. Now Charisma was going to have to deal with all the alien things by herself.
"Whatcha thinking about?" Michael said shaking Charisma from her thoughts.
She looked at him and frowned. "That this totally sucks! I don’t wanna leave you."
"I know, but I’ll come visit and you can come visit. And I’ll call you every Saturday and E-Mail you every day." He said reassuringly.
Just then Isabel and Max walked up with some coffee.
"Here Charisma we got your favorite. White Chocolate Mocha."
Holly smiled. "Thanks Max."
Isabel handed one to Michael. "We got you your favorite too… just plain black."
"Michael that is so gross!" Charisma said as Isabel sat down next to her and Max next to Michael.
"You tell me that everyday."
"Because it is!" Isabel said laughing.
Max joined in. "Yeah Michael I gotta admit, it needs sugar or something."
"Ah, but wait." Michael said pulling tabasco out of his bag. "It needs this."
Charisma smiled as they all passed the tabasco around to put in their drinks. When they first started eating everything had tasted really bland. They tried everything, then one day when they were at the Crashdown Café Michael accidently spilled some tabasco in his shake and for some reason, he drank it. It was a good thing he had, tabasco added what they needed to their food. They liked things sweet and spicy.
"Flight 118 we are now boarding." Was heard throughout the airport and the four stopped laughing and realized it was time for Charisma to leave.
Charisma stood up and grabbed her carry-on. "Well, I guess this is it."
Isabel stood up and hugged Charisma. "Isabel don’t cry, cause then I’ll cry and I don’t wanna smear my make-up."
"Ok, I won’t…" But Isabel started bawling. Then like she said, Charisma started bawling.
Charisma pulled away from Isabel and then hugged Max. "If you need anything..."
"Don’t hesitate to call, I know. I’ll be fine."
"Your powers in public. Be careful. I got it."
Max smiled as Charisma pulled away to go to Michael.
She buried her head in his chest. "I love you."
"I love you too. You better get your ass back here soon!"
"I will." She smiled and kissed him.
"Let’s go loser!" Seth, Charisma’s younger brother yelled.
"Leave her alone!" She heard her older sister, Sarah, yell as she smacked Seth.
"I better go. I’ll call you." Charisma turned around and got on the plane. Leaving Michael’s tears unseen by her.
TBC, Tell me what you think Please! Should I continue!

Los Angelas, California
Charisma sat down at the dinner table and waited impatiently. She had plans to go out with her boyfriend and some of his friends and preparing dinner was taking too long.
“Mom… I need to be going soon, is dinner almost ready?”
“Yes.” Her mom simply replied from the kitchen.
Her mother finally came out of the kitchen with dinner, Sarah carrying something close behind.
“Finally.” Charisma said.
“Well maybe if you’d help once in awhile.” Sarah said.
“Whatever.” Charisma muttered.
“Girls. Stop.” Mr. Evans said. “It’d be different to have a nice dinner. Where’s Seth?”
“I’m coming!” Seth shouted from upstairs.
When the whole family was at the table they started eating. Halfway through dinner, Mrs. Evans said she had something to say.
“Charisma, you are going to Roswell.”
“WHAT!? No, I don’t want to.”
“That’s too bad, cause you’re going.” Her dad said.
“Why?” She asked.
“Because honey, you have not been down there since we moved here. And next summer you won’t get the chance cause you’ll be getting ready for law school and…”
“Mom, how many times do I have to tell you, I’m not going to Harvard.”
“Harvard is a very prestigious school, you’re Uncle and I both atteneded.” Mr. Evans stated.
“That’s great, but I don’t want to be a lawyer. I want to be a dancer and I got accepted to Juliard. Why can’t you just accept that?” She yelled.
“You’re leaving June 5th, we’ll discuss Harvard when you get back.”
Just then the doorbell rang.
“Saved by the bell.” Seth murmured under his breath.
Charisma got up and slammed her chair under the table.
“Where are you going?” Her mom asked.
“You didn’t eat your dinner.” She said concerned.
“Yeah, what’s new?” With that she slammed the door and took off.

"Yes, I understand how that is. No, I've never had that problem with Isabel, but I wouldn't have been suprised if I had. You know how girls are. So We'll pick her up at the Santa Fe June 5th. Of Course it's not a problem! We're so happy to have her. Uh huh, yeah goodbye."
"Who was on the phone mom?" Isabel asked as they were eating dinner.
"You're aunt. Charisma is coming to visit in 10 days."
"Well, that should be interesting." Max said looking at his food.
Diana frowned at her children. "Well I thought you'd be excited."
"Mom, We have not heard anything from her for a good year and a half now. She didn't even come for Christmas with Sarah and Seth. We've called, We've e-mailed, Mom, that girls wants nothing to do with us." Isabel said.
"I wonder what happened?" Phillip asked sitting down at the table. "You three were always so close, and then there was Michael, I swear it was always the four of you running around."
"Well, this should be an interesting summer." Max said.

June 4th, 2001
Los Angeles, California
"I can not even believe they are making me go. It's so not cool." Charisma told her friends. She didn't want to go to Roswell. She had changed immensley since her move 2 years ago, and wasn't sure how her old friends would like the new her.
Charisma had turned into trouble. Rebelling against her parents for uprooting her in the middle of her high school career, she partied alot and being drunk was something Charisma was used to. The only thing that hadn't changed about her, was that she loved to dance. She always did her homework and kept her grades at straight A's because getting into Juliard had been her dream as long as she could remember. It was just out of school that Charisma had problems.
"What the hell are you going to do in Roswell for 3 months. It's like a ghost town." Her friend Kira said.
"Tell me about it! I grew up there."
"Dude, have you ever met aliens?" Charisma's boyfriend Kyle asked.
Charisma rolled her eyes. "Aliens do not exist." She lied. Knowing she herself had extraterrestrial genes.
Kyle put his arm around Charisma "Well babe, if you see ET, you'll have to let us know."
The group laughed. "Don't worry I'll be sure to call the minute a spaceship lands."
"So when are you leaving?" Another friend, Britney asked.
"Tomorrow morning. So tonight we have to do something to make up for the boring 3 months I'm going to have."
Later That Night...
Charisma stumbled into the house at about 2:30. She smiled to herself thinking of the good time she had earlier that night. Her and Kyle had gone to a slammin' party at Kira's.
"Where were you?" Charisma heard. She turned to see her mother sitting on the couch.
"Kira's. I told you I was going out."
"Are you drunk?" Her mother asked sternly.
"Let's see... Am I drunk? I was at a party, where there was alcohol. I drank... Yup mom, I'm drunk."
"Charisma, you do realize that you're flight leaves at six on the morning. That's in about 3 1/2 hours. You haven't seen anyone from Roswell in 2 years, and the first time they see you, you're going to have a hangover."
"Well, damn, maybe I shouldn't go." Charisma said sitting down in a chair.
"You're going. I'm just hoping Max, Isabel, and Michael can smack some sense into you. Juliard may have accepted you, but going to class with a hangover and you're out."
"Don't worry mom, I won't screw my life."
"I think it's a bit too late for that." Her mother said harshly.
"Whatever Mom." She said. Then added sarcastically, "I better get some sleep before my exciting trip."

Santa Fe, New Mexico
Charisma got off the plane and walked put of the boarding tunnel, to see her Aunt and Uncle waiting for her.
"Hi Honey!" Diane said pulling Charisma into a hug.
"Hi Aunt Diane." She said, then hugged her uncle. "Where's Max and Isabel?"
"Well, they are at home. They had stuff to do, but they are so excited about seeing you." Diane answered.
"I bet." Charisma mumbled under her breath.

"So, I remember how close you used to be with her. You dated for like ever." Maria said, talking to Michael.
"Maria, a long time ago, there was something there between us, now there isn't. She hasn't spoken to us in like a year and a half. Don't worry."
"I'm not." She lied.
Michael looked at her. "Maria, don't lie to me."
Maria looked down at her watch then back up at Michael. "Ok, so maybe, I'm a bit jealous, I mean... you were with her for a long time and she knows you better than me and..."
Michael cut her off with a kiss. When they pulled apart he said, "I love you. Only you."
Maria smiled. "I love you too spaceboy."

|Thanks for the nice feedback!|
Isabel paced nervously around her room. She went to her closet and pulled all the shoes out and started organizing them. It was something she had done since childhood to calm herself down.
"Nervous?" She heard Max say from the doorway.
"No, I'm just organizing. Can't a girl organzie her closet when her best friend that she hasn't seen in 2 years is coming to visit!" She yelled. Then she sighed.
"Isabel, calm down." Max went over and sat on her bed and Isabel sat next to him.
"Ever wonder why it took her 2 years to come back?"
Max looked at Isabel. "Every day."
They sat on Isabel's bed in silence until they heard the car pull up in the driveway.
Charisma got out of the car and looked at the house she so fondly remembered. It was weird being back. She sighed and went to the trunk to get her stuff, but Phillip stopped her.
"Max can get your stuff. Don't worry about it."
Charisma smiled at him. "Thanks."
She walked up the front steps and opened the door. SHe turned to the staircase when she heard footsteps and smiled to see her cousins.
"Hey guys." She said.
Charisma hugged Isabel, then Max.
"So... How have you been." Isabel asked leading her over to sit on the couch.
They sat down and Charisma replied. "I've been really good. How bout you guys?"
"We've been good." Max answered.
"So, tell me everything, how's Roswell."
"It's just the same old Roswell you always knew." Isabel said.
"How's umm.. How's Michael?" Charisma asked looking at the floor.
"He's good. He's um dating Maria DeLuca."
"That's good. Good he found someone. What about you two?"
"Well Max here is dating Liz Parker and I'm kinda dating Alex Whitman." Isabel smiled thinking of Alex. She liked him alot.
"Liz Parker? Max! Your dream came true! But wasn't she dating Kyle Valenti when I left? What happened with that?"
Max blushed thinking about how he had always loved Liz. She never really had a clue until one day at the Crashdown Cafe Liz had gotten shot and Max used his alien powers to heal her. "Um.. It's a long story." Charisma hadn't been informed about Max telling their secret. He figured since she was in a different state it would be safer to keep her out of things.
"Well," Charisma started, "I'm really tired, I think I might go get some sleep and then tonight we can have so fun."
Isabel smiled. "Sounds good!"
With that Charisma headed up the stairs to the guest bedroom.
When she was out of earshot Isabel looked at Max and said, "She seems ok."
"Iz, did you look at her?"
"Yeah, she looks terrible.
"She looks like death."
