U2 -WALK ON (Theme Song)
Is not the easy thing
The only baggage
That you can bring
Not the easy thing
The only baggage you can bring
Is all that you can't leave behind
And if the darkness is to keep us apart
And if the daylight feels like it's a long way off
And if your glass heart should crack
And for a second you turn back
Oh no, be strong
What you got, they can't steal it
No they can't even feel it
Stay safe tonight
You're packing a suitcase for a place
None of us has been
A place that has to be believed
To be seen
You could have flown away
A singing bird
In an open cage
Who will only fly
Only fly for freedom
What you got
You can't deny it
Can't sell it or buy it
You stay safe tonight
And I know it aches
How your heart it breaks
You can only take so much
Hard to know what it is
If you never had one
I can't say where it is
But I know I'm going
That's where the hurt is
And I know it aches
And your heart it breaks
You can only take so much
Leave it behind
You've got to leave it behind
All that you fashion
All that you make
All that you build
All that you break
All that you measure
All that you feel
All this you can leave behind
And all that you reason It’s only time
All that you care And I’ll never fill up all I find
All that you sense
All that you scheme
All you dress up
And all that you see
All you create
All that you wreck
All that you hate
Isn’t it funny how a moment can change your life forever. Big or small they can creep up on you and in one instant before your eyes all your plans that you worked so hard for, for so long can come crashing down all around you.
It’s because of those moments that your life never turns out the way you want it to. The road that you once traveled down and knew so well takes an unexpected and unforseen turn that you never dreamed possible...and there is no going back.
Things that were once safe, predictable and comforting can become strange and scary. The world that you once lived in is turned upside down and nothing is ever going to be the same again. There is no way to change it and there is no way to ignore it... no matter what you do...no matter how hard you try.
The thing is...there’s gonna be those moments in your life that make you, that set the course of who you’re gonna be. Sometimes they’re subtle moments. Sometimes...they’re not. I’ll show you what I mean.
Chapter One -
The full moon rose high over the town of Sunnydale, California casting an erie glow throughout the land. The town stood still...motionless. Business and shopping centers were empty and closed, the main street that stood in the center of the town bore no cars.
In the quiet little neighborhoods bikes laid on the lawns, toys were not being played with, while small children were asleep in their comfy beds holding their stuff animals and dreaming away, while down the hall their parents slept.
But then the sound of breaking glass broke the stillness of the night.
“Do you think this is a good idea?” the blond girl’s voice followed the glass shattering into a million pieces on the ground.
“Of course this is a good idea...,” he stopped and shook his head, “no, no this is a great idea, now come on.”
Four teenagers. Two boys and two girls stood outside a window that belonged to Sunnydale High School and lead into the Biology room.
“Keven, you go first,” the other girl said, “remember this was your bright idea...not mine.”
Annoyed he grabbed the flashlight from her, “Trisha chill out,” and he pulled himself through the window. Once in he looked around and listened for any sign of anyone left in the building, turning around he yelled.
The teenagers outside the window hearing this looked through the broken window while getting ready to run, “What...what is it,” the blonde asked looking like she was about to faint.
He laughed to himself and turned to look at the group, “Say hello to Mr. Skeleton the dead Biology teacher,” he held out the skeletons hand and waved it at them while laughing.
The three teenagers let out a sigh. Coming back to the window he helped the two girls through. Once Trisha was in she slapped him in the arm, “Ow..what was that for.”
“For scaring the crap out of me,” and she hit him in the arm again.
“Hey!” he rubbed his arm, man that girl can hit.
Once the other boy had climbed through and was on his feet Keven in the lead walked them through the desks and chairs and into the dark and empty hallway.
“See...,” Keven smiled and grabbed the blonde while wrapping his arms around her waist, “peace of cake.”
Trisha looked around and then at the group, “So, you two just moved here?” She motioned towards the blonde and the other boy who came with them, “You don’t look familiar.
“We just moved here,” the boy replied.
“Are you sure this is alright?” the blonde girl obviously looked nervous.
“Yes, just relax...” Keven said, “I used to go to school here and we would always sneak into the gym. at night and goof around.”
“What was that!” she turned around and looked down the hallway where the lockers were.
“I thought I heard something,” she said nervously.
“That it Keven, if we get caught...”
“Trisha, we’re not going to get caught...” he interrupted her.
He turned to the blonde, “It was probably just the wind.”
“Are you sure?” she said.
“Ok...good,” she turned back around to the boy and the last thing heard from Keven and Trisha was a scream.

Chapter Two, Part 1 -
Two Months Ago
On top of a high mountain stood a beautiful old cathedral building hidden by tall, green trees. The mornings approaching sun was sending rays of light through the stain glass windows onto an tired old man siting in a chair looking over papers. The mans solitude was interrupted by the sound of a door opening and footsteps approaching him.
“No...,” placing the papers on the desk, “and we are running out of time,” getting up from his chair slowly and letting out a sigh he walked to a nearby window.
“How much time do you think we have?”
“Not much, the signs are appearing everywhere.”
“She does not know yet of who she is...what she is?” he asked.
He turned his head away from the window to face the man before him, “No...not yet anyways. Lets just hope that we will find her, and that when the time comes she will be ready,” silently the old man replied.
I know, I know very short. I just had to post it. Incase I can’t finish the rest of the chapter tonight, I’ll post it tomorrow. Leave feedback.

I'm so sorry that it is taking me forever. I assure you that I am not leaving this fic, I have worked how long on the plot and outline to give it up. Things came up that could not be avoided.

Chapter 2, Part 2
The heel of my boot hitting the hard floor was the only sound that could be heard throughout the empty and dark hallway. It was completely different from a couple of hours ago when students were talking with friends and at their lockers...you know the usual sound that comes during school hours.
Passing some classroom doors and lockers I continued to make my way down the hallway. My only source of light, the full moon, coming through the windows gave me just enough light to see.
I’m...confused. Why was I here again? For some reason I couldn’t remember. Did I leave something in my locker?
Thinking back to when I went to it last...no, I remember taking all of my books home. Maybe it wasn’t a book I left? But question is, if it was not a book then what was it.
“Forget something?” I heard a voice from behind me.
Turning around I looked at the old man before me with a long, white beard, and long robes on.
“I can’t remember?" I paused, "I came here for a reason but...”
“I think what you are looking for is over there...,” I looked at him for a moment and turned to see what he was pointing at. The Janitor’s closet? Yet again, I’m confused. I turned back around to question him but he was gone...Could this get anymore weirder.
I searched up and down the hallway but he had just...disappeared. Turning my attention back to the door he was pointing at, I slowly walk up to it and grabbed the nob. This has got to be a joke. Looking around once more I turned the nob and pushed it opened.
Suddenly I was blinded by a bright, white light and I could feel something push or pull me in and I let out a scream.
WHACK! A girls left fist collides into someone’s face.
“Are you sure this is alright?”
“Yes, just relax...”
WHACK! Her right fist collides into their stomach.
“You lied to me!”
“I did it to protect you!
CRASH! Someone falling through glass.
“Everything has changed.”
Shooting up into a sitting position from my bed in a cold sweat, I could feel the drips coming down my forehead slowly. It was just a dream...just a dream. Calm down.
Not moving from my position I sat there with my eyes closed letting my breathing come back to normal and for my heart to stop pounding.
Feeling semi normal I opened my eyes and was greeted with the first mornings light. It was coming through my curtains making a silhouette from the on the floor. I had no idea how long I was sitting there memorizing the patterns it was making.
The alarm clock went off pulling me out of my daze and I quickly turned over reaching to turn the annoying beeping sound off. Leaning on my elbow I brought my hand up to my face and rubbed my eyes. I don’t want to go to school, usually I like going to school, but for some reason I knew it was not going to be a good day.
Looking up I caught the sight of the picture of my parents on the desk by the clock.
Quickly looking away, I pulled the sheets over and swung my legs to the side of the bed and stretched. No time for self pitying Liz, you can do that later.
Standing up I walked across the room and out the door to make my way into the bathroom to start getting ready for the day.
Man...that was a weird, intense dream. This is all Michael’s fault, I’m never letting him talk me into watching Braveheart again, all that blood and death...it just can’t be good.
Leave me feedback! Please!!!!!

I wasn’t completely happy with the last chapter so I went back and reworded a little bit of it and added onto it, but not much. The next chapter I hope to get it out tonight, I’m working on it right now.

I’m so sorry for not posting the next chapter to both The Beginning and In the Darkness. I’m having a really hard time writing the next chapters.
For the last week or so my grandpa has been in the hospital and my grandma has needed me to stay with her during the nights, and that is when I do most of my writing.
And this morning my grandpa past away. The funeral is Saturday and I don’t know when I will be able to write the next chapter or even when I will be in the mood to write.
In the mean time, if anyone has questions on the plot of both of my stories I would be happy to answer them as long as they don’t give away too much spoilers.
And I would appreciate if someone would now and again bump both of my stories for me so they don’t fall off the board.

I’m back!!! Again...I’m sorry for the lack of updates. For the last month I have been very busy with the holidays and all. I haven’t even been on the computer for awhile. The last couple of days I have been thinking of this story, still outlining and figuring how long it’s going to be. And I can tell you write now, it is going to be very long. And a big challenge for me, considering this is my first story along with In the Darkness.
About In the Darkness I’m going to hold out on posting anything on it for awhile. Why? Because I’m going to put most of my time in The Beginning right now. It was the first idea I had for a crossover that I really wanted to do and I have already put most of my time in it. But I’m not abandoning In the Darkness I still plan on writing it.
Iceprincess4ever thanks for the bump.

Hi!! Sorry for the wait...again. I ran into a little bit of trouble with my computer and I'm still having problems with it. Everything on it got erased, including my story. Not all of it is lost, I had printed some of the stuff off and most of my notes I had hand written them. I'm going to have a lot of free time this week so hopefully I will be able to post the next chapter but I'm not promising anything, because lately real life always gets in the way.
Again if anyone has questions about the story I would be happy to answer them until the next part.
