I've been searching for you
I heard a cry within my soul
I've never had a yearning quite like this before
Know that you are walking right through my door

All of my life
Where have you been
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
And if that day comes
I know we could win
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

A sacred gift of heaven
For better worse, wherever
And I would never let somebody break you down
Until you cried, never

All of my life
Where have you been
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
And if that day comes
I know we could win
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

At every time I've always known
That you where there, upon your throne
A lonely queen without her king
I longed for you, my love forever

All of my life
Where have you been
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
And if that day comes
I know we could win
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

All of my life
Where have you been
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
And if that day comes
I know we could win
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

All of my life
Where have you been
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
And if that day comes
I know we could win
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

I wonder if I'll ever see you again
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

I wonder if I'll ever see you again
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

Part 1a
"Maria please, you can't go!I can't handle this place all by myself!" Liz Parker cried as her best friend went to her locker in the back room of the Sonu Cafe. Maria sighed. "Lizzie, I gotta go, I'm late for a date and you'll be fine. Besides you have Sophie." Liz raised an eyebrow. "That's more like I'll have this shift all by myself. God, I knew I should've fired her years ago.All she ever does is flirt with all the customers." Maria chuckled, "Liz it will slow down trust me," she glanced at her watch,"I'm late, I'll call you tomorrow." They walked out to the front of the busy cafe."Bye Maria." Liz called out then went behind the counter to take orders.

Liz looked up as the chimes to the door of the trendy Manhattan diner rang out. She almost dropped the glass she was holding. He sat down right in front of her at the counter. He was beyond explanation. The words Greek God came to mind. She brought herself together to take his order. "What can I help you with?"

Should I continue?

Part 1b

Max looked up from the menu in his hand. “Well I’m having a hard time deciding but I’ll take a beer.” He told her. She smiled and pushed her hair behind her ears. “I take it you don’t come here often.” She slid the glass onto the counter. He nodded. “Well I guess you caught me. I decided I wanted to come to some place new.” “And you decided on this of all places?” she questioned sizing him up. “You look familiar.” “And why’s that?” “Well…maybe I’m hallucinating or are you not
The Max Evans. “Okay you got me.” His cheeks flushed. “Aww, that’s cute and I only thought you did that for people you worked with.” Max was an up and coming actor with a few movies under his belt. “I gotta get back to work you came on a busy night. You should come by again sometime?”
“I’ll keep that in mind.” Max replied. He pulled out his wallet and paid for the beer after he slid off the stool.

Sophie rushed over to Liz, “Wasn’t that Max Evans?” “Yeah and?” Liz continued to clear off the table. “And you don’t care?” “You act like it’s some big thing. I just talked to him, he’s no one special.” “No one special? Are you retarted or something he is something special, don’t say he’s nothing special I saw the look on your face when you were talking to him. Did you at least get his number?” “No, and besides he probably already has a girlfriend. So why bother.” “But what if you never see him again?” “It doesn’t matter if I don’t see him again, like I said he’s nothing special. He’s as ordinary as the rest of us.” Liz lied. In reality she really did want to see him again. “Even though they didn’t say much she wanted to get to know him better than the media did. She hoped that he’d come again.

“Max, is that you?” His girlfriend Tess questioned as he entered the apartment. “Yeah.” He walked up the stairs after locking the door and went into the bathroom to get ready for bed. “Max where have you been? It’s nearly one in the morning.” “I went for a walk. I’m here now, I’m tired and I don’t want to talk about it.” “Max,don’t be like that, we have to talk about his. You’re drifting away from me.” “No I’m not it’s too late to talk about this.” He went into the bathroom to take a shower.
Once he came out of the bathroom he slid underneath the covers and turned on his side away from Tess. “Max—“ “Not now.” He exclaimed and slid farther away from her on the bed. Max never heard her sobbing.

Part 2

Liz looked up when the bells to the door sounded. It wasn’t Max. It had been two weeks since he’d come into the diner and she’d lost hope so as to that possibility that he’d be coming again. The diner had been unusually empty on a Thursday afternoon.

“Chica what’s the matter?” Maria questioned her boss. Liz sighed. “I don’t know, I sort of want him to come back.” She admitted. “You know you fell for him.” Liz bit her lip. Maria was right. She was always right about these things and it bothered her.

“But I’ll be out of town for the next two weeks and you have to tell me if he came by or not.” Liz pleaded. “Liz I promise. You better get going or you’ll never make it out of here tomorrow.” Maria advised her. “You’re right. You’ll be able to handle it without me?” “ I’m sure now get out of her before I throw you out!” Liz shut her locker and walked out the back door of the diner.

Max entered the diner after he’d left his apartment. He couldn’t stop thinking about her. Liz. He’d dreamt about her and even daydreamed about her. It was driving him crazy. He needed to see her. She fascinated him. She was the exact opposite of Tess. He didn’t even know why he was still dating her. They’d been together for about five years and the reasons didn’t just add up anymore. Sure, he loved her but he wasn’t in love with her. Then why did he feel that way about Liz? He’d only talked to her for about ten minutes and it made him want to get to know her better.

He’d walked around the streets of Manhattan thinking about her laugh, her smile, the way she pushed her hair behind her ears, and the way her eyes lit up. She was exceedingly beautiful and she probably didn’t know it.

He had to admit, he never felt this way about Tess. Not even when they first started dating. He didn’t get butterflies or have sweaty palms at the mere mention of her name. And it excited him. He never felt this way about anyone. That meant something. But what exactly? Was he in love with her?

He looked around to see if she was around and went in sliding into a booth in the back . “Are you Max Evans?” A short blonde asked not believing her eyes. “Uh yeah, why?” He inquired. “You’re the one my friend was talking about.” She explained. “Enlighten me, who’s your friend?” “Liz Parker. You must’ve did something major because she isn’t that easily taken. “Where is she?” “You just missed her.” She informed him. “Could you tell her I came by?” “I’ll do that.” And with that he left.

Part 3

Liz stepped off the plane and looked around the airport. She pulled her purse up onto her shoulder and glanced around once more. She couldn’t see Sean anywhere. She felt someone tap her on the shoulder she turned around to see her boyfriend with a grin etched on his face.

“Oh my god, I had no idea where you were. I was beginning to think that I was going to have to get a cab.” She told him. They began to walk out of the airport towards his car. “And you think I’d actually forget about you?” He inquired. “Maybe.” She countered. “No I wouldn’t I love you too much to forget about you like that.” Liz bit her lip when he said he loved her. She felt terrible. The entire plane ride all she could think about was Max Evans. The actor. But he was too good for her. and she felt guilty, wasn’t she supposed to feel this way about him. She was supposed to be happy to see Sean and not like she’d done something wrong. But she’d only met Max once. How could she feel like this about a person she barely knew. She had to admit. She couldn’t stop thinking about Max. For the past few weeks she thought about him, dreamt about him, imagined what it would be like to date someone like him.

She and Sean had been dating since high school and decided to date up until now with a long distance relationship. She wanted to move to New York to get away from California to experience new things and wound up doing something she loved, which was to cook, and she finally got her dream to open up a restaurant in Manhattan. Sean didn’t like the idea but finally went with it and agreed to it staying behind in California.

“So how’s the restaurant?” Sean finally asked. “What?” she’d been in her own world. “Oh it’s great. Everything’s fine.” She finally said. “Do you want to get settled in and then get dinner and a movie?” Liz smiled, “Yeah, that’d be great.” She said trying to mask her monotony. He smiled at her and then looked back at the road and pulled up into the driveway.

She sat bored picking at her cold alfredo as Sean droned on about sports. Do I even care what the fuck he thinks about some stupid basketball game? Why did I even start dating him? I want someone to shoot me now! She forced another smile for what seemed to be the 1000th time that night. If she didn’t call Maria or SOMEBODY she’d be forced to hurt him. “Um, excuse me, I have to go to the bathroom really quick.” Sean nodded and she got up from the table in search of the restrooms of the restaurant.

“Maria I’ve only been here for one day and I think I want to kill myself. I cannot stand him. He is constantly talking about himself and sports. I want to sew his mouth shut—“, Liz heard Maria laughed quietly “,do you think this is funny?” “Actually I do.” Maria admitted. Maria finally calmed down. “Guess who keeps asking about you?” Maria questioned smiling to herself. “Who?” she inquired, annoyed at her situation. “The one and only Max Evans.” Liz’s mouth dropped open.

“Really, he asked bout me?” “Yup, he comes like, every chance he gets just to see if you’ll come.” “Today I finally broke the news to him that you were in California—I promise I didn’t mention Sean. But I seriously thought he was going to fly all the way over there to see you, I mean, he does have the money.” “I can’t wait to come back! I’ve only been here for one day and I’m already complaining. Just 13 more days.” “Well I’ll try to call you whenever I can.” Maria promised. Liz heard a loud clatter of pots and pans. “Maria what was that?” “It was… nothing. Liz I’ll talk to you later.” “Maria wait! What happened.” “Nothing, nothing at all, just uh…I’ll have to call you back.” She rushed and the line went dead.

Part 4

“Max! I told you to help out, not break the dishes!” Maria shouted at Max, who had accidentally dropped the dishes he was holding when he heard Liz’s name. “Sorry—what’d she say?” Max questioned.

“That she’s madly in love with you.” She said sarcastically. Max’s face lit up like a Christmas tree. “Really?” Maria rolled her eyes. “Something close, she’ll be back in two weeks so just hang in there.”

Max sank into the nearest stool. “But that’s fourteen days, I can’t wait that long. And Tess keeps nagging me about not being home all the time. I don’t know what to do.” “It’s easy, dump her.” Maria told him. “But I don’t know how Liz feels about me.” “Well, how do you feel about Tess?”
“I love her, but I’m not in love with her and I don’t want to hurt her feelings.”

Maria sighed. “Then how do you feel about Liz?” “It’s indescribable, I feel like I need to see her every time I can and I can’t top thinking about “I’m sorry to tell you this, but you are in love with Liz Parker.” Maria concluded

Max looked up. “You’re right.” “I have a confession.” “What’s that?” “Liz feels exactly the same way.” He gave her his signature grin. “Let me guess, you want her number?” “She wouldn’t mind, would she?” Maria smirked, “Not at all.”

Max stared at the phone, then at the piece of paper, then the phone again. He’d been like this for nearly an hour. He finally picked up the phone and dialed the number. The phone picked up after the first ring, “Maria!?!” Liz cried out. “Uh, actually, it’s Max.” “How’d you get my number?” “Maria
Actually, she told to call you or she’d kill me.” He clarified. “Well that’s Maria for you.” He chuckled. “So how’s California?” “Unbearable, I already want to go back to New York.”

“And go on a date with me?” He questioned. “No.” “Why not?” “It’s just that, I—I can’t.” “And why’s that?” “We’re too different.” She put out simply. “No we’re not.” “Yes we are, I can’t go to those award shows and fancy dinners, I, am just an ordinary person.” “NO you’re not.” “Then what am I?” “You’re extraordinary, and that’s why I like you so much.” “You like me?” “Yeah.” “How much?” “I can’t share that information.” He told her simply.

“Please???” She pleaded. “You’ll find out if you agree to go on a date with me.” “Fine. But I have to go, we’ll talk later.” “When?” “Later.” “How about…Thursday?” “Okay, I’ll call you tomorrow.” Liz told him. “Bye Liz.” “Bye Max.” Then she turned off her cell phone. “Liz?” She nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound of his voice. “Who was that?” “Oh um, that was…uh…Maria, um actually it was her friend who picked up.” Sean nodded, looking at her curiously. She let out a breath and leaned against the wall, and slid onto the tiled floor. She was so close to having Sean discover who had been on her mind for the past few weeks. She finally sat up and walked into the bathroom and splashed her face with cold water.

“Max, who were you talking to?” Tess questioned when she crawled onto the bed wrapping her arms around his shoulders. “Isabel, she just wanted to see how I was doing.” “How is she?” “Fine, she’s fine.” He lied and got up abruptly walking away from her. “Max, what’s wrong?” “Nothing.” “Max, tell me.” She got up and walked over to him by the window and touched his shoulder. “Just drop.” He warned her. “Max, why are you so closed off? We barely talk anymore, you just did a move and for the past month you’ve been distant. We haven’t really talked in months.” She cried.

“Tess, I don’t want to get into this right now.” “Max, we have to talk about this, we can’t keep avoiding this, we can’t ignore it like nothing’s wrong.” “Then what? What do you want to talk about!?!” “Do you love me?” “I don’t want to talk about this anymore.” He tried to walk out of the room but she moved to stand in the doorway. “Tess, get out of the way.” “Do you love me!?!” She demanded. “Tell me the truth! If you don’t I’m going to leave.” “If I tell you, you’ll leave anyway.”
“What are you implying Max?” “I don’t love you.”

Sean glanced at Liz, she as too busy playing with her food rather than eating it. He sighed then finally decided to ask her what had been on his mind the whole night. “Liz, who were you really talking to?” Sean questioned. “A friend.” She stated bluntly. “And who was he?” Sean demanded. She dropped her fork onto the plate. “How did you know that?” “Come on Liz, I’m not stupid.” “Yeah, well you act that way.” She muttered under her breath. “What?” “Nothing.” “Tell me.” “Okay, I’ll tell you, I am sick and tired of hearing you constantly talk about yourself. I cannot put up with this anymore. All you ever do is talk at me!” “What are you talking about? You only care about yourself. You’ve been in your own world ever since I picked you up. Is it someone else?” “Yes it is. Okay, is that what you wanted to hear? I am going crazy thinking about someone else! Alright!” “Who is it?” “That’s none of your business.” She seethed through clenched teeth. She rose from her seat and stalked down the hallway to Sean’s bedroom.

“Okay, I’ll tell you, I am sick and tired of hearing you constantly talk about yourself. Sean followed her into the room, ”Liz, don’t leave like this, it’s the middle of the night. Don’t go like this.” “I can’t stay here with you.” “Where are you gonna go?” “Away.” She stalked out of the house and slammed the door behind herself.

“Hello?” Maria answered the phone in the middle of the night, half asleep. “Maria, I want to come home!” She cried into the phone, Maria could hear her sobbing. She sat up. “Liz, what happened?” “We broke up.” “Isn’t that a good thing?” “I don’t know.” “But you’ve been obsessed with Max, now you can go out with him.” Maria told her. “I’m at LAX right now, my flight gets in at eight and I need a ride home.” “I have to open up the restaurant so I’ll have Max come get you.” “What? He can’t pick me up!” “Liz, he’s the only person available at that time in he morning. I’d ask Michael but he doesn’t wake up until 2, Liz I’m sorry but he’s the only one unless you take a taxi.” There was a slight pause. “Okay, tell Max to pick me up.” Liz finally said. “Liz, I promise we’ll talk later. I have to call Max.”

Max glanced around the airport and looked at his watch. It was 8:15 and Liz’s flight had just gotten in but he had yet to see the tiny brunette. He ignored the stares from the few people who’d recognized him. Then he finally saw her and smiled. His smile dropped when he saw her bloodshot eyes. She dropped her bags and walked into his arms burying her face in his chest. “Liz, what’s wrong?” “I don’t want to talk about it.” She mumbled with her face still hidden in his chest. “Don’t leave me Max.” Liz pleaded. “Never.” Once again ignoring the stares she pulled back and wiped the tears running down her cheeks and kissed her forehead. “Thank you Max.”
He looked down at her and smiled. “No, thank you.”

Okay tell me if that sucked or not...
