Title: Believe
Rating: PG-13/NC-17
Disclaimer: I don't own the Roswell characters, sadly enough, I probably never will, except maybe in my mind, but I'm afraid my mind would drive any normal person to insanity, so we won't go there.
Summary:Well there's not really much I can say about it without giving the story away. Basically it starts with heartbreak, which leads to love, but I should warn everyone, it is a tragedy. so if you want to read it and not be sad, there's a certain point where I might tell you to stop near the end of the story, STOP there. For the rest of you that keep reading, it will be filled with strength & triumph.

~Part 1~
Turn out the light
just say goodnight, to yourself
may I remind you
when you find you, you're all alone is when you've got to be strong
cause that's when they call you, in the night
he's got your picture in his mind
he's got your number on a paper at his disposal anytime

Is it really true
could you save yourself for someone who, could love you for you
so many times we just give it away, to someone who
someone who you

met in bar
the back of a car
and for a moment you felt important but not in your heart
my self esteem, it's been low, go ahead and count it's been lower than low
I know the feeling of it stealing life out from under me

I want to learn, how you save yourself for someone who, could love you for you
so many times we just give it away to someone who, couldn't even remember your name
could you save yourself for someone who, loves you for you, and loves me for me
give it away to someone who someone who will cherish your name

Cause I want to learn, can you save yourself for
loves you for you, and
loves me for me
give it away to someone who, someone who, someone who will
cherish your name
cherish your name.

Save Yourself~ Sense Field

Liz could feel tears running down her cheeks. How could he say these things? So she had refused to sleep with him? She just wasn't ready. She loved him, she needed him. "S-sean? Why are you acting like this?"

He didn't answer, he just walked away, not even looking back.

Liz stood there for a second in shock, tears still running silently down her face. The entire school sitting in the cafeteria staring at her. Then, suddenly she took off down the hall and slammed into the girl's room. She stumbled into the nearest stall and collapsed onto the floor, her body rocking with sobs.

Everything had been so wonderful. She could still remember three months ago when he had come up to her in the hall and casually asked her out. The most popular guy in school had asked her, Elizabeth Parker, a total nerd, out on a date. Suddenly she was hanging out with the most popular girls in school. She even became close friends with one girl, Maria.

And thats just who she saw poking her head caustiously into the girl's room. "Liz hunny? Are you okay?"

Liz looked up at her with red puffy eyes. "Why would you care? Why don't you just go back to your table with you friends and laugh at the poor, frigid, little Liz?"

Maria stepped into her room and wrapped her arms around her friend. "Liz hunny, don't be like that, no one is laughing at you, at least they won't while I'm there. It's gonna be okay, you'll see. Sean is an ass."

She wrapped her arms tighter around her friend. "Come on Liz, don't waste your tears on him. You'll find someone better soon. I mean, the bastard has probably already gone back to that little slut, Tess."

Maria had said those words hoping to cheer her up. Instead she got the opposite effect as Liz thought about Sean with someone else. She burst into a fresh round of tears as she thought about how he really never loved her, like he'd always say he did.

Screw classes, Maria thought, and she held her friend and let her cry for the rest of the day.
When they finally got up to leave, they had missed all of their classes, but Liz didn't care. How was she ever going to face any of her classmates again?

Her cheeks were still damp when they stepped out of Prestigem Academy, their private school and into the late afternoon sun. Maria said she'd walk Liz home, and Liz smiled, glad she still had one friend left in the world. They walked together in silence, and Liz was glad Maria didn't try to probe into her feelings. She just wanted to think right now.

She was snapped out of her deep thought by Maria's voice.

"Get out of the way you urchins." she said with discust.

Liz was startled at first, and then saw who she was speaking to. There were two guys standing there that were definitly from the wrong side of town.

She didn't even notice as the one to the left began to chuckle and say something back to her friend. All she noticed was the one on the right, his hazel eyes, flecked with amber seemed to bore into hers. He had brown hair that hung unchecked over his forehead, and she felt the need to brush it away with her fingertips. And those lips. God, they looked just so kissable. Strong arms that any girl could just fall into....

Wait? What was she thinking? These guys were probably dangerous!

But part of her didn't even care as those depth fulled eyes stared down into hers with interest, and something else...

She didn't have time to ponder it, because suddenly she was being pulled away by Maria. Suddenly she was being ripped away from that god who had stood before her.
