Betrayal of Principle (Sequel to Betrayal of Trust)

Zeke scowled as he paced around the apartment he’d been renting just outside of Roswell for the last few weeks. If his timing was correct, the Alliance’s best team should be here within the week, minus him, of course. Tio, Jas, him, Liz, this other girl named Annalise, and her brother Jacob were what used to make up the team. He assumed that they still though of him as part of the team, though he wasn’t really sure that that moment that he wanted to be.
He thought about the phone call to the boss, who generally went by the name Lucas Parker, his father. He was kinda scary in the ‘follow me or you die’ type way. It had never been an option for Zeke not to follow, his father wouldn’t have allowed it. He had believed in the cause all the way, ever since he was little, so it wasn’t an issue. Now, Nancy and Jeff Parker had tried to shield Liz from it as long as they could, but he had introduced her to the cause and now he regretted it.
Then there was the fact of being witness to the issuing of a termination order for his cousin. That really hit him because out of all of the family he had, Liz was his favorite. And even more disturbing was the new feeling for Isabel. Not that he’d had many girlfriends, but Isabel had liked him for who he was, before he almost killed them.
No, he didn’t believe that they were human, but at the moment, he could care less that they were aliens either. Never once in his life had he ever felt so conflicted. Never did he have no one to talk to about it.
Liz paced. And paced. And paced some more. This couldn’t be happening. It was a good thing that Alex, Kyle, and Maria didn’t know about this. That would just make things worse. But they had to know, as it wouldn’t do good if they found out from any other source.
She had to tell them something, anything to make sure that they know to look out for something. Sighing with resignation, she picked up the phone and called Maria.
After a few rings Maria picked up the phone. “Hello?”
“It’s Liz. I need you to meet me, say, at my house in about an hour. It’s really, really important.” Liz said, her voice sounding calmer than she felt. Her mind was going over things she should say and things to definitely leave out.
“Um, sure. I’ll be there.” Maria answered, her voice slightly uncertain. As far as she was aware, nothing had happened.
Liz hung up the phone and proceeded to call Alex and Kyle and repeat the conversation. She had about 45 minutes to prepare what she was going to say.
You know the drill: The faster you reply, the faster I write!

Note: Just letting you know that I editted the prologue. You should read it again, or you'll miss out on something later. Got that? Ok. Oh and, thanks to SoCaliGuy or his great advice in all my fics. Figured that I should say that somewhere along the line.

Trying to keep this slightly resembling current. I'm suffering from more than slight writer's block. It's awful and I haven't updated any of my fics for quite some time. Just be a bit more patient and you might have another part soon. *Might* being the key word here.

A/N: I finally got some written and here it is.
Chapter One, Part One-A:
Liz hadn’t spoken to Max, Michael, Isabel, and Tess since that day and she really didn’t plan to. She had enough problems as it was.
About ten minutes before they arrived, she had figured out what she was going to say and she hoped that they’d get here before she lost her nerve to say it. Maria was, as always, the first on there. She only asked about a million questions that Liz didn’t answer until Alex got there to tell Maria that Liz would tell them whatever she had to say once Kyle got here.
Kyle was nearly ten minutes late ad Liz was almost prepared to start the little meeting early. Almost. She watched as everyone sat in silence, waiting for her to say something.
“Obviously you guys haven’t heard much of anything that’s happened and I really debated on even telling you at all.” She paused. “Ok, how about you tell me anything you know and I’ll tell you the rest.” She suggested. ‘The rest within reason.’ She thought to herself.
Kyle shrugged. “I know it has something to do with Tess and them. Tess has been avoiding me more than she has been.” Kyle said, having not really heard anything.
“I overheard a conversation between Michael and Max about your cousin, Zeke I think his name was. You never did introduce us. Something about someone trying to kill them or something. It was weird and I couldn’t hear them that well.” Maria added. “That’s what this is about, isn’t it?”
Liz nodded. “Yeah. Sort of.”

I'm still working on it. This fic is like the hardest one I'm working on, considering not only the subject matter but where I actually want the fic to go. Let's just say that maybe by Saturday you should have another part. MAYBE.

Ok, I think I'm going to discontinue this fic for the time being. I'm seriously having problems writing this. Unless anyone wants to help me write some of it.......
