-Liz and Max's House-
Liz was sitting outside on the patio reading waiting for Max to come home. Life was actually okay. They worked through the destiny thing and they were closer then ever so she thought.
"Hey babe, whatchua reading?" Max said kissing her on the cheek.
"Is there really life on Mars." Liz smiled at Max as he arched his eyebrow. "How was your day?"
"It was good. Dad was working me like a dog though." Max said cracking his neck.
"Ah poor baby...Here, come inside and let fix you dinner." Liz said putting her book down and getting up.
"Go ahead. I'm going to sit here a few more minutes." Liz nodded and headed in. Max made sure she was inside. 'Tonight is the night. I'm going to make her mine.' The box snapped shut as he heard her come out.
"Honey, you coming in?" Liz asked. Max nodded and followed her in.
Later on as they were relaxing and listening to music near the fireplace, Max started getting nervous. "Max are you okay?"
"Umm..yeah..Actually, no." Liz looked at him strangely. "I have something I need to say."
"Okay. You can tell me anything, you know that." Liz said sitting up.
"Alright...Just let me get it all out alright. Here it goes. We've been through thick and thin. The day I saved your life was the day my life started. It was the best decision I ever made. You risked your life more than once for mine. And everyday I wonder why. The day...the day in the cave I wished you stayed behind." Liz looked down. "Because now I know there will always be this something between us. But I love you more than words to describe. And no matter what they say, I know my destiny changed when I saw you and saved your life."
"Marry me, Elizabeth Anne Parker.." He held the ring out upon her.
"I don't know what to say...Except yes." Liz smiled.
"Yes? Yes?" Max slid the ring on her finger and kissed her desperately.
-End of Flashback-
