Just wondering, are you guys sick of how us poor Aussies have been treated by channel nine? We''re still waiting on season three here in Melbourne! You know New Zealand has gotten season three already?

Yeah I'm so pissed about that! Do you have Foxtel? 'Cos s1 reruns start on Monday! (I still haven't gotten down from cloud 9, lol) At the rate channel 9 is going, Foxtel will have shown s3 before they do!

I don't have Foxtel, unfortunately. But I knew about it, and tried to get a friend to tape it for me- but she went out that night and doesn't know how to set the timer!

And...I have a proposition for every Aussie out there.
Who wants to sign a petition to Channel Nine to get season three (and one and two again)?
As soon as I get enough signatures, I'll send it off.

Or...
Everyone WRITE (they don't like 'suggestions' in email form) to Channel Nine and beg them!

Email me or whatever to let me know!

I envy all you Foxtel ppl...but then again, there really isn't any reason, since I have all the Season 1 eps on CD..lol..as well as Season 2 and Season 3...but I so wanna see the Foxtel ads!
I'm also sick of Channel 9's treatment of Roswell...but you guys shouldn't send a petition to it or anything..
Why?
Cause there's a Australian Roswell Convention happening next year...Jan 19th and 20th...any of you guys going?

Yeah channel 9 sucks!! I think I already signed a petition to get them to sign it, but that was ages ago and still nothing doing GRRRRRRRRR Apparently it's supposed to be on later this year but I'm not holding my breath! And even if they do, it'll be like when they showed s1 and s2. Crappy timeslot, 2 eps, tennis, 2 eps, golf, new program, 3 eps, more golf, and so on and so on. Makes me cranky!!!

Hoping it's the same here in Melbourne. Sooner would be nice.*tongue*

I've seen 'Michael, the Guys, and the Great Snapple Caper'. I watched it Friday 'cos I had nothing to do. (no school, due to the ever wonderful muck up day on Thursday. My Yr12 classes are over, so I only had English to worry about- and there was no way I was going to travel for 1 1/2 hours, spend 50 minutes at school watching class orals, then spend another hour and a half travelling home.)
So far it's my favourite Michael centered episode. I loved it when Max and Liz went hang-gliding.
Been reading spoilers for the rest of season (which I'm now thinking was a bad idea- but does anyone know where I can get a script of Panacea? It's not at Crashdown.com)
And someone mentioned Jason being at the convention? I know, it's way cool- I wish I could go...but I'm kinda in the wrong state. I'd have to pay for travel and accomodation as well, and I can't afford it. If I'm lucky I can get enough money for my birthday and Christmas, but by then it'll be sold out. *sad*
Oh well. If anyone here goes, can you try to get me autographs, please? It'll make my day.
Anyway, back to the world of fanfic...

Hey all.
People at the convention that I can remember right now: Jason, Katherine, Nick and William (although rumour has it William won't be acoming after all)

Also, this has nothing to do with Roswell, but I'm trying to track down some people. They used to go to school with me until I moved away. I know one of them at least moved to Perth after that.
If you know anyone that moved out of Moonee Ponds, Victoria, five to six years ago let me know. (Names are Alinta, Angelique, and Tabitha- they're not together- I just know they moved)
I know it was a long time ago, but I was looking at old yearbooks last night and it occured to me I'm in contact with people around the world. And you heard of 'six degrees of separation'? It's the theory that within six people, you can contact anyone in the world.

Any help is much appreciated.

About how old are they? I can ask my friends if they know, but I don't know anyone from Moonee Ponds sorry.
posted on 2-Nov-2002 2:13:30 AM by Aussie_Dreamer
Tabitha would be around 18-19.
Angelique and Alinta are both 15 - 17, I think. I don't really remember what year they were in, I just know they were a year or so below me.
Tabitha's last name is Walters and I think she has a younger sister.
Alinta and Angelique both don't have any siblings. Angelique's last name is Backhouse. Alinta's name is a double, but I can't remember what it is. Alinta lived with her mum, who doesn't have the double name.

Thanks,
Nicole

Who saw last night's ep 'Secrets and Lies'?
I haven't seen it yet. I taped it, to watch in my school's AV Lounge (unfortunately it was booked for all of today- so I guess I'll watch it when I get home. And if my brothers don't like it, tough. They always get their choice.)
I've read the script, so I have some idea on what happened.

Guess what? Yesterday was my birthday! (Thur 7, cos it's the 8th now) I'm eighteen FINALLY!

Hi guys. I'm an Aussie too!!

So Channel Nine finally got Roswell on although its at 11:30 on Thursday... (thank God I have Fridays off uni) although I'm going home to Darwin soon and we don't have channel nine, just channel eight which is like nine and ten together so who knows if they have Roswell..

Lucky for me I've been downloading the episodes like mad. I have all (and seen all) of season three and I've got about ten episodes missing from season one and two combined.

If someone really wants a transcript for something they can't find at the Crashdown... tell me. After exams I could be persuaded in typing it up for you.

Also... please check out my new fic in the Crossovers section. Its called Walls although I'm thinking of changing it to Alone.

Don't forget to leave me feedback!

And is anyone going to the convention in Sydney where Jason, Katherine, Nick (and William maybe) are going? and have Jason and Katherine gotten married yet or what?

And no, Jason and Katie haven't gotten married...they're just bf and gf...I think the married thing is just a rumour floating around.

I don't really like Jesse...well....hmm.....I dunno, I mean I'm kinda mad that he's replaced Alex on the show, but if he wasn't involved with Isabel, then he seems like a pretty okay guy...but for me (even though I'm a dreamer) Alex and Isabel rulz! *big*

EmmyAwards, I think I've actually been reading your fics. Yours is the DA/Ros xover isn't it? I love it! I think I posted a reply. I can't remember, I've been reading so many fanfics at once.
And sarzy... another Melbournian!!! And I'm sooo jealous! You're going to the convention! Can you get me some souvenirs? I'll pay for them! Signatures, anything!
Your location is Fountain Gate Shopping Centre? *tongue* I know where that is. I've been there a few times, but I'm closest to Knox.
I love your signature... I copied it down for my list of quotes ages ago. Where did you get it from? (Or did you make it up yourself?)
Okay, gotta go.

Nicki

PS. Has anyone else read 'Finding Yourself' by cookieman1234? I've finally finished it. (It's huge, you have been warned) It's absolutely brilliant. It's post Departure, so there's no spoilers for us. It's Max/Liz mostly with much Maria/Michael. Kyle and Iz are both with new characters.

Good point. Liz made great leaps and bounds in getting a backbone and being independent of Max during second season. Now we get to third season and she's off getting arrested because Max wants to find his son.
On the case of Jesse, though, isn't Isabel's happiness the main thing? And she believes being with Jesse will make her happy.

So who watched Thursday's ep 'To Have and to Hold'? Ladies and gentlemen, may I present; the one, the only, the very evil leader of the Skins- Kivar! Now there's someone you don't want to appear at your reception!
I liked Max's speech, though. He's realising Iz can take care of herself.

Later,
Nicki

'To Have and to Hold' I reckon was one of the best episodes of Roswell s3 we've seen so far..
I totally laughed my a$$ off during that scene between Isabel and Michael about Jesse's blood (But he passed!), Maria and Liz working on Isabel's wedding and Kyle and Michael at the pool table. Didn't like Max questioning Jesse's friends...but at least he finally realized Isabel was smart enough to take care of herself in the end.

Hey Lucky Star and Nicki

I've finally found our little Aussie abode! Good to see us rocking here as well!

Now Lucky Star the Convention is on a weekend! So if you booked ahead on Virgin you'd get a pretty good fare. Of course I'm assuming you don't work weekends!

Now Nicki, good to see you again. Now Finding Yourself is one of my top 3 fic. It is awesome! Have you read Those Meddling Fates? It is just as good and long. I love well developed plot fics. In case you're wondering, my alltime favourite fic is the Epiphanies series (3 fics) by the master, Carol! She's currently writing Chamelion as you can see from my signature!

Now what is it with you Melbournians? BTW I lived there for 4 years and loved it! I'm originally from Adelaide, but follow Hawthorn fanatically - I've just my Social Club renewal membership application in the mail.

Now I'm currently taping season 1 for a Melbourne girl, Tina, otherwise known as Tikitombatina, the fan fic author. She's currently visiting Europe. Not to mention Dark Angel! She's definitely high maintenance! LOL Great fic though!

I was going to take notes at the Convention and post at ROSWELLnet and my invitation only list. I nominated Tina and she's one of three Aussies on that list. 95% are American and quite nice. I'm getting on quite well with one in North Carolina....well until she gets the vegemite I sent her I guess! ROFL

Take care. *bounce*

Hey Craig!

Welcome to the down under part of the board! *big*

Yes, I could make a weekend trip of it, but jet lag is a bitch and it's so damn expensive to fly from Perth to...well anywhere! Even on Virgin. And considering the large amount of debt I'm currently in, not such a brilliant plan. Hope everyone who goes has fun though!

You're a Hawthorn supporter huh? I'm a West Coast Eagles girl myself. I hate Fremantle with a fiery passion and laugh gleefully every year that they don't make it into the finals. And I hate Collingwood too, don't know why, just do.

'Finding Yourself' definitely rocks, doesn't it? Anyone who hasn't read it, should. It's post Dep. I warn you, it is long, but well worth it! (On Microsoft Word, Times New Roman, size 10, it is just over 495 pages long. Takes up about 2 1/2 MB)
Ephinanies? That's got 'The Ties That Bind' and 'the Anasasi Road' (sp?) in it right? Yeah, those are great too. I found them at crashdown.com. I don't think CD finished it though. I'll have a look for them here.

Hawthorn, huh? Yeah, I think I have relatives on my dad's side who go for them. (I think I have supporters for every team in my family!)

I know the Convenion's on a weekend and it's cheaper, etc, but I only have $150 to my name- and that has to go to my family and friends' Xmas presents. Despite my obsession with Roswell, I would never spend my money selfishly. I'd rather I didn't go to the convention and I give good presents, over going and people I care about getting little or nothing for Xmas.
I have told everyone I want to go. Maybe they'll all put in some money and they can have a holiday from me! I am rather insane, after all.

So, I watched Blind Date last night. I taped it too. Great ep. I would love to get all the episodes before it from someone. It can be in Long Play- I finally have a new VCR! I'll pay for the tapes.
Someone local would be better (cheaper). All else fails, I'll find somewhere to download them from and get them taped onto video. (We've done that with the first four eps of Buffy S7, and the first three eps of Angel S4.)

Okay, I'm done rambling.

Dear Monica and Nicki

Thanks for the welcome. I've gotten so used to chatting with Americans and Canadians that it is refreshing to even just give street directions! *big*

Mon, 3 hours isn't jetlag! There's only 3 hours difference between Sydney and Hawaii. I went March last year and it was superb! I saw Sunset Beach, where the surfing was last weekend and it is beautiful. Not as good as Manly, Cronulla or Coogee beaches here or the boardwalk at St Kilda or down the majestic Great Ocean Road but definitely easy on the eyes. Waikiki Beach is good too - the sand is from Australia! A little piece of home.

Nicki, it's hard to argue against your logic! Christmas is a great time of year. And definitely worth being generous! Have you thought of a parttime job?

BTW with Virgin, outside peak periods, ML - SY is $89 and SY - ML is $140 down to $89 at 2115 departure. A min cost of $178 if leave before 0700 or after 1615 and return 2115. That's leaving Fri returning Sun night! If you'd return on the Monday almost guaranteed $89!

Mon, $265 1455 to Sydney and $269 1840 return. $534 is better than the $1,000 + it used to be. Doesn't the net make things more convenient?

I have people on my invitation only site wanting photographs and notes! Usually us Aussies and Brits are the envious ones! Good fun.

Let me know what happens because I suspect this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I saw on FOX8 last night Blind Date and if that isn't one of the post pivotal episodes I don't know what was. Even the soppy parts I enjoyed! LOL Someone posted today season 1 up until episode 16, when Tess arrived, was the best part of the series. What do you guys think?

Nicki do you have 'Finding Yourself' on disk? I currently have Anne (aka Cookie) getting it for me from Stacey, a friend of hers. *big* Another good fic is by Jane, a SG1 crossover fic here also and she's on my list as are Sansu, Kath and Carol of course. Carol and I have great fun. She lives in Illinois, an hour odd south of Chicago and is a literary editor.

BTW I loved Angelic's post about Monica! When I joined BuffAngOpinions noone realised I was non- North American until I started mentioning Aussie! I took that as a compliment. The moderator was quite shocked! That was good fun too!

Best wishes.

Still won't be able to afford it. My family is rather big. (My grandma on Mum's side had six kids. They all have kids. My dad's mum had four kids. Three of them have kids- one has six. One of THOSE kids has a kid as well. Then there's my brothers and my stepmum. Confused?)
I'll be getting a job next year, but because of school, I haven't had time to get a job this year. In fact, since I'll still be in school next year, I'm not going to have much time to work.
My school is over 30km from home, BTW. Some of you may have heard of it- MacRobertson Girls' High? It's a select-entry public school. We have to pass an exam to get in. (I got in on the multiple choice questions!)

As for Season 1, it's all good until Tess shows up! I never liked her! She split up my fave couple!
Monday, Independence Day is on!!

Yes, I have 'Finding Yourself' on disk. Do you want me to send it to you or something?
I've been reading Jane's crossover. Wasn't the reunion great? (Rhetorical question, I know.)
I love Kath and Carol, they're both great too. (Which reminds me, I finished Epiphanies 3. I hadn't realised there was a third) I also read Kath's 'Between the Sand and Stone'. I didn't read it before 'cos we hadn't seen 'Control' yet and I didn't want it spoiled for me.
What has Sansu written?

Edited to add: Has anyone read Javagin's 'Everything You Are' or Sheeperz's 'Double Jeopardy' series? I don't know if they're on this board, but you can find them at www.ishallbelieveinml.com

Okay, I think I've babbled enough.

Dear Nicki

Thanks. I'd love a copy of 'Finding Yourself.' How much storage does it take? I'll have to buy myself some disks and them get you to email me on a new email address, for storage purposes! LOL

Just let me know.

Finding Yourself and Those Meddling Fates are the best (after Epiphanies) closely followed by Maxeo and Lizziet and Jane's along with Innocent (by Cookie). Linda's latest fic is great too! With Kath I've been slack with her latest fic but her Max Jnr fic is awesome! She's on my list and one of the first fics and persons I chatted to about Roswell! Before that I wasn't too much into the internet.

SansuCry has written alot I just haven't had time to read it. I'll have to put your suggestions 'in the queue.' BTW Lealea has a great fic going too as does 2crzy4roswell! And Carol says her best author is Rosdiedre! High praise.

Gee your family is impressive! Do try! I fear it may be a one off in Australia. Still I'll take photos and summarise the activities!

Take care. *bounce*

Craig,
First off, got your b-mail. If you haven't read the reply yet- sure, I'd love to join if you can manage it. I think we were online at the same time last night. I went on as soon as 7Days was over (9:30) and stayed on until nearly midnight.

Also, I can fit 'Finding Yourself' on disk- if it's zipped. I'll see how large a file my yahoo email will let me send. I might have to sed it to you in more than one part if that doesn't work.
I don't think I've read 'Those Meddling Fates' or 'Maxeo and Lizziet' yet. Give me an hour, though...
What can I say, I'm a fast reader. *big*
Which is Linda's latest? I can't remember. Is Kath still writing the Out of the Woods trilogy?
I'll copy down the list of authors you've given me and read their stuff.
Yeah, my family is pretty huge- but I don't think I have to get presents for EVERYONE. At least, I hope I don't. I'll be broke forever!

Chat later,
Nicki

So where is everyone?
Loved 'Samuel Rising' on Thursday. You know where they got the name for that ep from right? The movie, Mercury Rising, starring Bruce Willis? You know who played the autistic kid in the movie? Miko Hughes!
You guys know who that is, right? He was Nicholas.

On for us people with cable TV, 'Sexual Healing' is on Fox8 on Monday!!!! We were watching the ad yesterday, and do you know what one of my little brothers said afterwards?
He said the glowing hickey was really disturbing. I suppose it would be a little weird.*tongue*

LOL about the disturbing glowing hickey! I can't wait for tomorrow to see that episode again! It's the last one before Tess arrives.

INSANITY: Oh icic... the engagement thing I saw on IMDB.

Sarzy: Hi I live in Melbourne too.

Aussie_Dreamer: Oh thankyou!! I remember you posting FB on my story. I'm really grateful. I actually have another story in my head at the moment cos I just read the Roswell High books... I drove my siblings nuts pointing out all the differences... like "Alex's last name isn't MAINES!!" Now I just need that damn picture on the front of the book... don't suppose anyone knows where I can get it from. Its not the pic of the cast of the TV series. It's a drawing of what the ACTUAL Roswell High book characters look like. Liz looking like Pochahontas and all.

Craig Beatty: Erm... Melbourne just attracts Roswellians?? I'm from Darwin though.

If anyone could get me anything from the Convention I'd be soo grateful too!!

Unfortunately Channel Nine isn't available here in Darwin so no Roswell Season Three. Lucky I still get Fox8. ANd thank goodness for d/ls off the net...

I know what you mean about the differences between the books and the show. Do you know what my favourite difference is?
No Tess! And no stupid destiny crap. (Which reminds me, Crazy is on next week the first with Tess *sad*)
Shame about not having channel nine. Hang on, you download the eps? What do you have?
New fanfic in the works? Something to do with the books? You can be sure I'll read it! And I'll be checking your current fics for updates (just as soon as I get my next turn on the computer)
About the original picture of Liz ORTECHO...if I can find some original copies of the books, I'll scan it and send it to you (or you can do the same for yourself)

Anyway, one of my younger brothers is wanting his turn on the computer, so I'd better go.

Nicki

PS. Check out my new fic 'The Day That Never Ended' on the Dreamer board. It's just post EOTW, and was a challenge by Dia.

Do you have WIN there in Darwin? Cause they're showing Season 3 of Roswell on it as well...it's just that they started the season a few weeks after Channel 9 did.

I hate how Sheriff Valenti is bad in the books... and dead too... and I do have the original copy of the books... its a library book and I don't own a scanner... how crappy is that? I swear though that Alex looks like that really boring guy that Ally McBeal dated before she dated Robert Downey Jnr... only younger looking... all of them look really familiar... I was wrong about my description though... they aren't illustrations... they are actual photos of people.

About what episodes I downloaded... I have every episode from season 1 to season 3 an E! interview, some ads, stuff like that. I did that all on dialup modem... crazy isn't it. But I got them all and I'll be having a HUGE Roswell Marathon when I get bored in Malaysia haha.

I'm gonna go read your story now. Hopefully my brother won 't kick me off before I get to.

What's WIN? haha I guess not... Channel 8 is actually a combination of channel 9 and 10 but they can't show every program and Roswell isn't on. They are actually changing into Channel 9 starting January 1 but I don't think Roswell will be on. Hopefully Rove will still show on it because it took ages to get Rove on here for my little siblings (thank goodness I live in Melb) and they didn't even have the whole Big Brother craze... not that I watched it anyway.

Hi All

In case you haven't seen the announcement, the Convention is OFF!

Here's what I got from Ming:

-------------------------------------------------------
This announcement was meant to be a wonderful revelation about who would be coming to the January convention. I am however the bearer of bad news to tell you that the plan for Channel Nine to sponsor us has not gone ahead because one of the actors that they were hoping to attend was unable to come in January, they have however agreed to reschedule later in the year when all invited cast are able to attend.

I cannot begin to say how profoundly sorry I am to everyone for this, after going to Sydney a few weeks ago and going through the venue things were really going well and the organisors were getting really enthusiastic about the event. We are at this stage looking at rescheduling March of 2003.

I will be refunding everyone's convention tickets in the coming month regardless of weather or not we will be holding a convention later in the year, should you have booked a flight for January that you cannot get refunded, there will still be a get together and viewings of episodes but the convention at this stage will not be happening as planned for January.

I want to thank everyone for their support over the year and along with the other organisors I wish to humbly apologies to everyone. As you can all probably imagine we feel terribly disenchanted, but no matter what the difficulties we will still try to make this go ahead later in the year.

Ming Johanson
-------------------------------------------------------

O well, I'm depressed. Is it me or does it feel that yet again we've been shafted for being on the other side of the world?

Take care.

No convention??? Crap.
Well, at least I hadn't booked anything yet. We will definitely get one though, right?
More time to save up my money?

EmmyAwards, is there any way you can send me the eps? I will pay for copies (that goes for anyone else with eps as well.)
About scanning the front cover of the book... you know your local library should have a scanner. Mine all do (and expensive printing!) I'll tell you what, though. I'll still have a look around and see what I can do about sending you the pic.
I'm not too thrilled Valenti was evil either. He's so cool (for a grown up, anyway *tongue*) in the show.

I never watched Big Brother either- and we had it! It was way overrated. Last year, at my school camp (we went to Central Australia for two weeks) some of the other girls were talking about it. One girl, Lauren, actually had someone SMS her who got evicted!

My dad's home so I have to get off. My room isn't entirely clean so if he discovers that, I'm dead meat!
Damn house rules...

Nicki

PS. Craig, I'll send you the first half of Finding Yourself tomorrow if you're still interested.

Dear Nicki

Most definitely however how much storage space does it take? Could you let me know by 1pm (EDST) tomorrow at craig_beatty9⊕yahoo.com.au (since I'm barred at work from looking at this site) and then I can decide if I set up another email address for it. Such an awesome fic!

Have you got all of it?

Yes, I think Lucky Star is right about the Convention. austr-alien are trying but I think again Channel 9 has stuffed us up. What chance do you think it was that Katy was the one who couldn't attend and as a result 9 pulled the plug? One would of hoped it would of been over Bill Sadler but.....

All I can say for all of us is 'patience grasshopper!'

I dare say the Aussie thread at Fan Forum is getting a workout. I must check it out.

Take care. So much for my directions for y'all! LOL

The whole lot takes up about 7.5Gb which is a heck of alot of CDs, but yeah I'll see what I can do. You'll need to make sure that you can watch that sort of thing on your computer though.

Hmm don't know if the library has a scanner.. will have to look into that although I have to return the book by the end of the week because.... I'm going on holiday so if you can scan it I'll love you forever.

I wanna say so much more but there's a storm (Christmas and its raining) so I have to get off.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Don't ya just love Melbourne weather? Actually, today wasn't too bad.
I'll go to my local library at some point this week. Hopefully they'll let me borrow. (I have overdue books). Because just in case their scanner's on the fritz, I'll give it too my dad.

Hold up, just found this site.
http://www.angelfire.com/az2/RoswellHigh/
Click on 'Humans' then on Liz's name. It has a picture of Liz O from the cover of The Watcher and a posed pic of Liz P.
The site hasn't been updated since before season two started, but at least it has the pic you want.

I think I can watch stuff via the computer, but I might be able to convince Dad to download it to VCD and get a friend of his to put the eps on VHS.
This is how we got the first eps of season SEVEN Buffy and season FOUR Angel, and the first ep of 'Firefly', Joss' new series.

Hell, if you have them all on CDs, how about you make copies and mail them to me? That an option?

Anyway, gotta go,
Nicki

PS. Enjoy your trip!

Darwin weather nicer for me. I don't think my library has a scanner... crappy library and all that.

Thanks for that site. Its soo weird, the front cover of the book is the same... the pictures that they have for Liz and the other characters are... different. The models are the same except for Maria and Isabel. I wonder where they got those pics.. I like the ones on the book that I am trying to find... they are more face on, not hidden as much... but beggars can't be choosers right? Unless I find more pics.

Thankyou again so much.

Since you live in Melbourne, and I live in Melbourne, I'll see what I can do about giving you the seasons when I get back.

I don't know where they got the pics, but I started looking at online shops, because they usually have pictures of the product.

What book are you trying to find? Obviously not one of the ones on the site.

Yeah, Darwin's got better weather. I was up there early July 2001 for a school camp (Central Australia, two weeks)

Did you know the shop Borders has the Roswell soundtrack? I was in South Yarra on Monday at a Christmas party and stopped by the Jam Factory. They'd sold out, but at least they had it. I went to all these other CD shops (Virgin, Sanity, etc) and it didn't even show up on the computer! In fact, they had to ask me how 'Roswell' was spelt.

So whereabouts in Melb are you? East side, west side? I'm about 30km directly east of the city, in Upper Ferntree Gully. And tragedy of all tragedies, my school is 20mins south of the city, near Albert Park.
The train trip alone takes an hour!

Anyway, I'd better go before my dad discovers me on the computer while I'm banned.

I'm looking for the inside cover of the Outsider which is the first book. The front cover is on that site, but only the front of it.

Roswell soundtrack cool.. my sister thinks I'm nuts but I reckon that shows like Roswell, Smallville etc have good music. I got my music from Kazzaa or going to Roswell MP3 Site

Hey Ferntree is close to me!! (I think) I'm in Glen Waverley, near the Glen shopping centre.

Dear EmmyAwards

Sorry, by 'explosion' I meant apparently there was a breaking of a water pipe which caused chaos there and some people were injured. Not an Al Qaeda like explosion. Just an 'explosion' of water.

Just terribly messy, inconvenient and frustrating for people there.

Happy New Year everyone.
Now, I wanna know a few things.
First off, where were you an hour and twenty minutes ago, when the clock struck midnight? Were you partying with friends, or were you sitting quietly at home? Were you asleep? Were you watching TV?
What resolutions did you make?

And also, Monday night. Those with Fox8, raise your hand. Now keep 'em up if you wanted to hurtle large objects at Tess.
I really don't like her. And can you blame me? I'm a solid Max/Liz fan. Even Max being a jerk and sleeping with Tess didn't change that. (In fact, despite knowing what's happening during the rest of the season, I swear it was a mindwarp. Now who's delusional?)

Okay, chat later.

Dear Nicki

I changed my pic because well, I'm more of a KH fan, but don't mention that to Carol! She HATES KH! *big* (For everyone else Carol wrote the Epiphanies series of fic on the Dreamer thread here). A legend of a Lady as you can see from my sig!

Now I was having a barbie with friends at midnight and um forgot to make a New Years Resolution. I do hope however that this year we can end the terrorism and get back to normal.

BTW I've discovered dzdreaner was/ is coming to the Roswell Convention in Sydney! Now it's cancelled she'll have to do other things depending on whether Ming puts on another event., Still, encouraging. I sent her a b-mail with suggestions for her time in Melb and Sydney. I lived in Melb for 4 years and visited oh about 30 - 40 times! I will never go to NorthLand again! I nearly couldn't find my car! I prefer South Yarra!

Now with Tess, remember Emilie de Raven is an Aussie! That's why I've been defending her elsewhere. I'm on an invitation only site and a year or so ago they were hoeing into her and I had to defend her. Ideally she should be Kyle's girl although some mind warping caused by Nicholas like the Virtual season 3 has it, would of been a good potential plotline.

What does everyone think of season 3 so far? I think it's improving. And that guy who played the Hollywood Producer is in The Sopranos! I saw him on Fox News Channel the other night.

Take care.

Craig Beatty: OOh ok haha I was wondering about that. Good to know it wasn't a serious sort of thing.

Aussie_Dreamer: Yeah I live near the Glen. But I have no idea what school you're talking about... except maybe Glen Waverley Primary School... I live down High Street Road.

And school... haha... I go to Monash University Caulfield... I'm technically an 'out of towner' haha I'm from Darwin (if you can't tell) which is where I'm at right now.

I was... sitting in the lounge room with my family when it struck midnight... and before and after that my bro, sis and I were having a Roswell Marathon... they haven't seen it before and now my sister is getting addicted (we're up to Independence Day on my computer, but we've been watching on Fox8 too).

I agree with Craig, that we do have to remember that Tess is Aussie, and she shares the same name as me, even though its different spelling. I think that they kinda spoilt her... she was doing soo well in season two before the whole sleep with Max thing.

As for season three, there are some good bits in it. Season 1 is probably my fave, although I love the finale where Max and Liz get married.

Ohh on the Roswell news front hehe... guess what? Remember how I said that we didn't have channel 9 here? Well starting from today (Happy New Year everyone) Channel 8 became Channel 9. And tonight at 10:30pm they are showing ROSWELL!!! Season 3, Episode 1. I was soo happy hehe!!

Anyway Happy New Year people... do any of you have like msn or icq or something?

What does everyone think of season 3 so far? I think it's improving. And that guy who played the Hollywood Producer is in The Sopranos! I saw him on Fox News Channel the other night.

Take care.

Why does Carol hate KH? And I think she's probably noticed your pic change if she's been on the board lately. So that might give her a hint you like KH.

Everyone, read Epiphanies! It's fantastic!

At a barbie with friends? Sounds like fun. Definitely agree with ending terrorism. Did you hear all the hype about staying away from certain shopping centres during Christmas? (Chadstone, for us Melburnians)

Knowing that Emilie De Raven is an Aussie is the only thing that makes me like Tess! Emilie is a great actress- I've heard she's really nice in real life, and to play such a horrible creature such as Tess, you HAVE to have talent.
I think Tess should've been with Kyle- if only to make the coupling even. Because we all know Max and Liz are soulmates, we all know Maria and Michael belong together, and if Alex hadn't died, he could've had something great with Iz. And after all that, there's only Tess and Kyle left.

Who's dzdreamer? I know they've posted feedback to a lot of the things I've read too.
Don't like Northland? Whereabouts is it? What suburb is it in, do you remember?
Now, South Yarra is definitely cool. Not only does it have the Jam Factory (shopping centre, has Borders. Borders has the Roswell CD) but SY is also only 20 min walk from school. Some days when I don't have a metcard, and I want to avoid ticket inspectors (aka Met Nazis, cos they're so mean) I walk from SY station to school. I just have to worry about MNs at the barriers of SY station.
The bonus part is, they don't usually ask me for my concession card. To use a concession ticket, you have to be under 15 or holding a valid concession card. I didn't buy one last year, and have been telling inspectors that I was born in 1988/9. I was actually born in 84.

Anyway, enough rambling. As for what I think of S3, I definitely prefer season one. But I think I'm going to like these upcoming eps. Ch-ch-changes is looking to be interesting. Tomorrow night people! Party!
Tried to tell a friend the summary of every episode still to come. Her parents are strict and she often misses it and forgets to tape it. The moment she can convince her parents to let her sleep over at my house, we'll have a Roswell marathon. Unfortunately we live over 50km away from each other. I think it's that far. It's definitely over 30km to the CBD where I am.

Okay, gotta go. Third ep of Sliders is about to come on TV1 and I'm taping it.

Nicki

PS. Had to wish my Nanna and a friend happy b'day today. They're exactly 50 years apart, born on New Years Day. So it's easy to remember how old they're each going to be. But I don't tell Nanna I keep track of her age. That's not nice. *happy*

-------------------------------------------------------

I've only seen dzdreamer on feedback for fic but she comes across well. I sent her a 4 part reply covering so much she could do in the 3 odd weeks she'll be here. From in Melb, going to The Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula, Sorrento, Portsea, Vlados at Richmond, The Drunken Duck Restaurant on the Dandenong tourist Road, The Great Ocean Road, Echuca and the beaches of St Kilda, Torquay and Bell's, to summarise. Also, try try going to the MCG for something! You can't go to Melb without sport! Plus The Casino and surrounding eateries! Didn't mention The Bellarine Peninsula and the Ferry from Queemscliffe to Sorrento - no time. In Sydney, the great beaches of Cronulla, Manly, Maroubra, Coogee and Palm Beach along with The Blue Mountains, Old Sydney Town, Terrigal/ The Entrance and of course The Hunter Valley. And the great Hotels here; Coogee Bay, the Lord Dudley and The Royal at 5 Ways Paddington. Told her to consider going to Ayres Rock and also the Gold Coast.

I think that's enough to think about in 3 weeks!

Northland is in the Coburg Preston area of Melb. I'd have to check my Melways for more details! I only went there once. I preferred Chaddy. But South Yarra is great and the 3 Italian Restaurants on the corner just about of Toorak Rd and Chapel St are tops!

Take care.

Oh, I know where those restaurants are! Never been to them, though.

Coburg? I have friends living there. No wonder I vaguely know where Northland is!
Of course, going to school where I do I have friends in practically every suburb! One even lives in Bacchus Marsh- which if you didn't know, is so far out she has to cath a v-line train to get to and from school.
She hates living there. She calls it 'Boggy Marsh'. She's slightly crazy. She and her friends started writing up commandments for 'Shirenism' (Shirene's another friend). There were going to be 752 of them, but she didn't get much beyond 300. They were like 'Thou shalt find dirty references where there are none'
This one I liked.
45. Thou shalt have the memory span of a goldfish.
46. Thou shalt have the memory span of a goldfish.
Lots of them were school jokes (like about one of our German teachers), but a lot of them were general that anyone could get them. There were a few about Met Nazis as well.
I've lost my list, but hopefully I can find them somewhere. Maybe I should email them to send me an updated list.

Oh, by the way, did you get Finding Yourself?

Nicki

Dear Nicki

I know Bacchus Marsh because I used to fly there and it is a waypoint when flying from Melb to Adel!

Now with Finding Yourself; no luck for a Word version yet! I'm still hopeful though! Do you have a full copy?

Take care.

Craig, I sent FY to you. Didn't you get it?
Tell me your email and I'll send it again- this time in two parts. Maybe THAT way you'll get it. I sent it to you as a zipped document.

Anyway, there's this fic I'm looking for- I'm hoping you've read it. I don't know who it's by or what it's called, but I know it's post BTM. Diane approaches Liz about Max's secrets, and Liz finds Max's son staying with River Dog. Tess is dead. There's even an appearance from Future Max. There's a scene right near the beginning where Liz and Diane are shopping for Max's Xmas present. Liz gets him a watch with the date and time of his son's birth engraved on the back. Any clues?

Nicki

PS. I'll be at my mum's for the next week and she doesn't have the Internet. I'll be going down to the library occasionally to do checking up on boards, so I won't be completely cut off from everyone, but it'll still be a while between messages.

It's been awhile since I checked the site- I've been so busy.
*Mental note: look at site.

Do you know if there's ANY hope of the convention coming back? I'm saving lots of money so if/when it happens, I can afford to go.

Nicki

PS. Just finished reading 'Eyes of Fear' by SansuCry. Have you read it? It's like what would have happened if Max wasn't found in the desert.

Dear Nicki

Ming etc are hopeful that they will be able to hold the Convention in March. We'll just have to wait and see. So start saving! It would be terrible to miss it.

Now with your fic question, I haven't ignored it it's just I can't place it. Give me some time. Maybe I'll ask some fic writers on a certain site for their help! *big*

I hope your Christmas New Year was great! Last Wed I went to Bowral for the Bradman XI cricket game and went to two days of the Sydney Test plus going to a very trendy Darling Harbour Bar called The Cargo Bar last night for a friend's birthday. Great time of year! That's why I've been quiet!

Saturday night is taken up with a great bar-b-que. Let's hope Aussie can beat England tomorrow!

BTW what did you think of last night's episode? I thought Katy was gorgeous but the plot was a little out there unfortunately. I did like the Liz and boarding school plotline though.

Take care. *bounce*

ROSWELL BROADCAST ALERT!!!!

Dear All

I just discovered that episodes of season 1 are being rebroadcast on FOX8 at 1300 on Sundays! Todays episode was about Michael getting the key and Topolski arriving at the school. So it is about 12 or so episodes behind the Monday night episodes.

Great for taping when you've missed some episodes though!

Take care.

Damn. I should've noticed. I read the guide as soon as we get it- you'd think I would've seen it!
Well, I can start taping these ones. I'll have to get the two before it at some point- maybe we can convince channel nine to do something?
Probably not. It's not as if they do anything WE want.
And it's more than 12 eps difference. The last ep was 'Morning After', right? Well we are about 16 eps ahead of that on Fox8. You missed 4 eps in your counting.

As for Thursday's ep 'Panacea', it was okay. Liz comes back from boarding school next week, so I think I like that one better. I do understand that she needed to get away from all the alien stuff- not that going all the way to Vermont helped entirely.
I thought it was interesting to note that Liz knew the exact moment Max died. Also when Max healed Valenti, once again Max didn't see flashes of his life like he did when he healed Liz.
Good thing Maria had the brains not to continue that music thing when they were just going to alter her music and make her sing crappy songs.

Nicki

PS. I really hope the convention's in March. I might be able to afford it then. As long as I don't spend all my money at the school canteen.
Maybe I can convince the canteen ladies not to make quiche for a few weeks, cause that's where all my money goes! Yummy quiche (I'm serious, it's the best thing I've ever tasted- next to chocolate, of course!)

That is true in that case, however it is a fun part of life! I know coming from Adelaide, that playing cricket while I was at school could often be quite exhausting but still exhilarating! Plus team sports are so much fun!

Hey guys I would still like to know, having just looked at my b-mail, if anyone did go to the apparent fiasco on Saturday? I really fear this has badly damaged the organisers reputation.

Having said that I would still take the risk and pay for a future Roswell event as long as they give me details.

Take care.

It's also my birthday on the 26th, hence the excuse for drinking! *big* I might go into town to the foreshore to watch the fireworks (anyone else who lives in Perth going? Anyone else here lurking that is from Perth???)

Ooh, and to add my 2.2 cents about Phys Ed, I hated it at school! I used to get really bad marks because I always wagged it. It's barbaric to make people do sport at this time of year unless they are getting paid copious amounts of money to do so.

Hello all.

I'd go to any Roswell event I can afford. Even if it's in ten years time when most have forgotten the show ever existed, I'd still go!

Now, about PE... I like PE.
I hate those stupid fitness tests where they make you run 1.6k (or 3 times around our 'oval'- aka the only patch of grass in the entire of Albert Park that still belongs to us)
But I don't mind when we play sports. Because we didn't have a gym for most of year 9, we didn't get to play netball (my favourite sport) I was pretty upset. We didn't even play it once during year 10. And I decided against P.E 3/4, simply because it was mostly theory.

What else...
Oh, right!

Happy birthday Mon for Sunday! (I haven't made a mistake somewhere- it IS Sunday, right?)

Who watched 'Chant Down Babylon' last week? And 'The White Room' today? AND 'Monsters' yesterday?
Hands down my fave ep of those is CDB.

Who Died And Made You King? is on right now. I'd watch it while it's on, but becasue it's on so late, my dad objects to me making any kind of noise after everyone's gone to bed. So I guess I'll tick off my little brothers (who object to all things Roswell) and watch it when I get up in the morning.

Hey, I was rewatching CDB earlier today, and the part where Liz brings back Max reminded me of the part in book number 10, when Liz kissed Max out of the collective consciousness (temporarally, anyway).
Did anyone else get that feeling, or was it just me?

Hmm..I'm afraid that's where we go our separate ways *big* I prefer individual sports rather than team sports...whenever I do play sports my competitive side rears it's ugly head and it is NOT a pretty sight. *wink*

Aussie_Dreamer - Oh, those fitness tests are horrible! Especially the one called the Beep test, where you have to make it to the end of the hall before the beep (which is recorded on a tape).

Lucky Star - it sounds like you'll have a blasting Australia Day! *happy* I have no plans at all really...most likely you'll find me in front of the TV watching afternoon TV *tongue* (which is actually quite good! Who knew Oprah was actually quite a good show?)

Who Died and Made you King was just on...2 hours ago. I didn't know it was going to be on midnight..so when Farscape came on at 10.30...decided to log on to the Net and check the tvguide. And well...2 hours later and I'm still here. *bounce*

Mon, so you saw the connection between CDB and #10 too? So I'm NOT crazy! (Okay, I am, but nevermind)

You really have to get ticked off at channel nine, don't you? They show it later than normal, just to confuse people who don't have TV guides. We get the Green Guide every week, so I usually know what's going on- except for when they replaced Baby Bob with a BeeGees special because Maurice died. That threw me.

Oh...I know the Beep Test. I never could go as long as most people. Even my friend Aimee, who has a zillion different illnesses, did better than I did!

Nicki

PS. Save me! 5 days until school starts up again!

I was totally thinking that!

Channel 9 sucks big time! It really p*sses me off that they do stuff like that. I always look because I always think that they are going to take it off like they kept doing with s2, and even s1. A little bit of consistency would be nice. Though at least they aren't taking it off every second week for tennis or golf or some really stupid reality show!

Happy Australia Day everyone!

NOw my Aussie Day was very quiet but then the weather here wasn't too flash. I'd of loved to see the 4 RAAF F-18s fly down the Harbour at 1,000 feet! LOL

Now Nicki, your comment about the 'kiss of life' is dead on! I'd forgotten about the Metz Book 10 moment. It is very similar. Good pickup!

Guys

Have you seen what Kath7 posted about plagiarism?

I'm shocked at that definition of hers.

"The Canadian Intermediate Dictionary (which I use
> with my seventh graders and thus should be at a
> level we all understand) defines plagiarism as: "the
> act of taking and using as one's own the idea,
> writing, invention, etc. of another; especially the
> taking and using of passages, plot, etc. from the
> work of another writer."

and she also later posted:

"Accrediting doesn't make copying right. My father
> is a lawyer and I have asked him and he has
> confirmed this. "

and yet at Uni the rule was that as long as you credited where you got something from, it was o'kay.Neither Linda or Beth have quoted the whole novel so thought there wouldn't of been a problem. I guess I'm wrong.

I'm shocked! I think Aussie Law must be different.

Best wishes.

Thanks. I've been re-reading all my books for my own book. I'm putting together everything I know about Roswell into a note book I bought at Borders earlier this week.
Craig, you've heard this question I have, but the others haven't.

In Harvest, the group find that letter to Whitaker that says that if the Skins don't hear from her by the 25th of that month (presumably October, because Thanksgiving seems to be a while away) then they'll 'terminate her membership' aka kill her off. One of the group said then that the 25th was 'yesterday'. Now oops, because Iz said then that Whitaker died two weeks earlier, on her birthday. Iz's birthday is the 25th of October.
Does anyone know how I should work out the timeline for that?

Never watched much X-Files. Did see the finale though, and was thrilled to see where they were at the end. (For anyone that missed it, Scully and Mulder were in a hotel in Roswell)

Now, Emmy.
Glad to see you back. I was starting to wonder when you'd be back here.

BTW the Darwinian living in Melb reminds of a Malaysian friend with the extraordinary name of Subathini Sriganeshwaran (I tried to get her to do a Chris Evert-Lloyd for her credit card and business card LOL but she wouldn't go for it! ROFL), who went to university in my home town of Adelaide at MY university (Flinders) and basically saw nothing of the city! Please, explore Melb. It is beautiful; well apart from the Federation Square. And the Great Ocean Road, Sorrento, Torquay, Lorne, The Dandenongs etc.

C'mon, you guys should hold a Melb fan gathering and make me really feel depressed! LOL Hire a room at a pub, put in a TV and VCR, munchies, watch tapes and hold a quiz. Simple yet fun! *happy*

*happy*

Well they are similar in that sense, but I mean, you get so attached to a character that you can't really imagine anyone else being them know what I mean? And Liz Ortecho is slightly different. I mean she is like Spanish or something, her dad has a beer gut, they wear men in black uniforms, she had a sister called Rosa... all those things make her different. And to me, she doesn't seem to have the sweet innocence that Liz Parker has. Maybe its just cause looking at the pictures of Liz Parker and Liz Ortecho... well Shiri Appleby rules...

Yes I know... me bad... Can you believe I still haven't been to the Queen Victoria market even though I've lived in Melb almost 2 years?? I plan to go when I get back.

BTW. I've been on the Great Ocean Road. I had a 2 days 3 nights road trip... really awesome. Been to Wilson's Prom too... but in general terms... I haven't been to the LIbary or the Aquarium or the Museum or anything... can't spell... too tired.

Nite nite.

Craig, I'll try and arrange a Melbourne gathering and you can come down too! Maybe it'll turn out better than the Sydney one!
Hmm...my uncle owns a pub. Maybe I can get him to let us use for a day (or two or three...)
I'm guessing from your comments to Emmy that you've seen Fed Square? I have to pass it on my way to school!

Emmy... you haven't been to Queen Vic market? Well, I've lived here my whole life and I've only been 5 times... and my school is relatively close by.
Okay, and as for locations of everything...the Flinders Street clocks are the clocks at Flinders St Station out the front that say when the next train for each line comes. Fed Square is across the road from there. The State library is on Swanston St, across the road from Melbourne Central Station (previously known as Museum station, back when the museum was in the same building as the library)

Well, off to read some fics!

Hey Nicki

Is Swanston Street still dead at night, and during most of the day? Such a bizarre thing to do putting a mall in. I loved walking down the Bourke Street Mall dodging trams! LOL

Now with your uncle's pub, you should see if he has a function room in it, then all you'll need is a TV/ VCR, munchies, drinks and some bean bags, couches etc to be able to rock and roll. Starting at around 1400 or 1600 watching the best say 4- 6 episodes and reminiscing etc would be great. Plus drinking at a pub, would make it seem like being in those premium seats drinking wine at Crown Casino cinemas! Love that place. *happy*

I haven't seen the revised Federation Square but I remembered it when it had fountains and at times, would you believe, ice for skating on!

Your school must be near RMIT! LOL A mate of mine has just returned to Melb for work and will be finishing his university at RMIT. He's a manager at two pubs: at Sth Melb and Prahran. He has demanded I come down in the first half of the footy season to see a Hawthorn game (we're fanatical Hawks supporters) and drink conservatively! LOL Plus I want to see Toorak Road and Chapel Street again as well as Lygon St and of course The Drunken Duck Restaurant not to mention The Water Front Restaurant at Crown. So much to do so little time!

Oh, and I think Liz would of been even better if she'd been Latino. Shiri's look anyway looked a bit Spanish and yes, her father is better on the TV show but the music characteristic would of been a welcome quirk for the show. IT did seem like it was Anglo-Saxonized doesn't it? I hasten to add I'm not PC but it seems like they went too far on the show. I love Spanish Restaurants! LOL

Take care. *bounce*

erm..... *sheepish* no I don't think I have been to Fed Square... or else I forgot I have. I know the clocks in Flinders St Station so that's something right? haha...

Nicki it'd be cool to have a gathering if you can organise it. Does anyone have like all the episodes on tape though?

No, there's always stuff open. I was there yesterday, and there were heaps open- even for a Sunday. (BTW, I found out High Times by Keith Topping is available in Aust)

I'll ask him about the function room, and I'll see what else he can supply (to save me the trouble!)
Naturally I'll get everyone to bring money (or send it ahead, but that's a little risky) to pay for it.
I've been to Crown's cinemas too. I went there for a bday party two years ago. (We saw Blair Witch)

Be thankful. It's ugly as hell. Ice skating? Cool! (No pun intended) I love ice skating.

We're closer to Albert Park and the Grand Prix track. We even get days off school while it's on. Our original gym and fields got bulldozed when the track came. They had to make room for the golf course!

Never been to one.
And with Liz's dad, maybe they could've incorporated the music characteristic into Jeff.

BTW, I'm a grammar crazy person, and I keep noticing you write stuff like 'could of'. It's supposed to be 'could HAVE'. If you're meaning to write 'of', then just ignore me, okay?

Emmy, I don't know if anyone has all the eps. I have (at this moment)
S1- Monsters-Missing, Blind Date-Destiny (except White Room)
S2- Skin and Bones (and tonight I'll get Ask Not)
S3- All but Graduation

Maybe someone could bring the ones I'm missing, or we could decide which to watch out of what I've got- though I think there should be more from S2.

Did anyone else notice that channel 9 will put cricket on instead of Grad this week? At least it gives us one more week until it's over.

They did. In Episode 310: A Tale Of Two Parties. Jeff plays guitar and sings a song.

I have ALL the episodes, plus some trailers, and a whole bunch of other Roswell clips that I downloaded of iMesh. But its all on my computer. Now I got a laptop and it can hook up to a TV... just I don't know how to do it... plus my computer gets overheated when I watch Roswell and it reboots itself after 2 or 3 episodes. But if no one else can think of anything... I can bring it...

Dear EmmyAwards

When I mentioned Jeff's music I meant in terms of the Metz novels where he always carried around a waterproof radio and always listened to a particular group when he was depressed.

BTW have any of you guys been following the plagiarism debate? After today's shocking news about a RosFriend of mine, Linda, I must confess that I'm shocked beyong belief. One of my favourite fic authors, who is a great friend of Linda's, emailed me after and said after she finishes her current fic she's leaving the Board. After rereading Heidi's post I gather she was outvoted.

I feel so empty ans shellshocked.

I thought I had a handle on what plagiarism means. I guess I need to do further work.

It removes any incentive for any fic author who is unsure whether she/ he meets the plagiarism criteria to put their fic forward for vetting.

At least I'll be getting directly, further Parts of Linda's fic.

The whole exercise has removed any remaining desire I had to make further donations.

Take care.

erm not really... Wanna tell me what's it all about??

Is it about copying other people's fanfic work or about copying quotes out of the actual TV series?

With the plagiarism things...
This person in America I chat to, Dia, wrote this fic called 'Mr Maybe' which was too close in content to a movie I can't remember which one)
We have to change our joint fic as well because it's too close to the movie. We don't want it deleted, so we have to change it somehow.

Emmy, if we can't think of something better, we will have to rely on your laptop (and working out how to connect it to a TV) and episodes.

So this is a call to every fan in Melb (contact anyone you know) so I can find out an approximation of numbers.
It might also be nice to know general locations as well. My uncle's pub is in Berwick, and that might be inconvienient for some people.

Maybe we can actually get this thing organised.

Well the latest development with plagiarism seems to be a split. I can't believe it.

One of the fic writers sent me this information as to what she thinks happened.

"From what I know the mods and admins were
fighting over what to do about all this ban or not to
ban. Some very harsh or hurtful things were said
and insults were involded or at least it was taken
that way. Some mods were asked to leave. I don't
really know the whole story either but you can see
by that thread that its ugly. I've seen some
messages on fics that some are leaving as in not
posting their fics here anymore. Outer Haven
seems to be the board created by this split."

We'll have to wait and see what happens. Banning people without warnings was never going to maintain board harmony.

Take care. And Nicki, maybe go to Outer Haven.

It sounds sad. This board seems so sad these days what with the plagarism issue and then the possible closing of the boards. I hope they don't close, I really really do.

O. M. G.

Did anyone in Melbourne know that Katherine Heigl was there shooting her new movie during January?? At Melbourne UNI??

http://www.kheigl.com/news/010203-1.shtml

Ok I'm going to keep looking around now... I'm actually looking for stuff to use in a banner... so if anyone has any good pics of the good looking people of Roswell... bmail em my way.

Dear Emmy Awards

According to your post she is still there, until May! Good Lord!

Now with the Board I don't think it will close but I do at the moment admit to being less then enthused to donate. :( After all I am a friend of Linda's and proud of it. I'm getting updates of her banned fic directly.

Take care.

When I was in Malaysia I went to a net cafe and was checking out Roswell Fanatics when I saw like a promo picture of Max and Liz posing from their wedding in Graduation. Its not an actual scene on the episode. It was on somebody's siggie, but now I can't find where I saw it. Does anyone know where I can get it?
posted on 18-Feb-2003 10:49:48 PM by Aussie_Dreamer
Sorry, no idea.
What did it look like? (Besides M and L in wedding clothes?)

Nicki

The two of them standing side by side smiling for the camera or looking at each I think... but I don't remember it from any of the scenes.

I think I know what you mean.
I'll have a look around when I have time...

Okay, everyone shed a tear...

4 hrs and 45 mins until the final shows here in Melb....
5 hrs and 45 mins until Roswell is offically over here...

Oh God...
Max's proposal...it was so beautiful....and Michael's 'goodbye' to Maria....And Max's speech at Grad...
So many moments I want to rewatch again and again...

Now, who noticed we saw more of the Tex than we did of Max and Liz FINALLY being together?
Of course JK was the one who wrote it, so that explains it.

Roswell, it's been great watching you on TV...except for every single second with Tess (minus the parts where Liz blasted her, and where she blew up)
Channel Nine, although you've treated us fans horribly, thank you for showing it the whole way through (unlike channel seven and Sabrina)

My only consolation now that Season 3 is over, is that Fox8 is still showing S1 on Sundays, and (the tragedy that is) S2 on Mondays.

Let's not forget...fanfiction...the only way to keep Roswell alive forever....

In tears over the end,
Nicki
