Summary: Isabel desides to have a slumber party with Liz and Maria, secrets are revealed.

Part 1:

Diane Evans approached her daughters room tentatively, not quite sure what to expect. Ever since her birthday, Isabel had been closed off and distant, even more so than usual. Unfortunately, no matter how hard Diane tried, her daughter refused to tell her what was going on, always claiming that she was fine. Well, Diane knew better. Her daughter was easier to read then she thought. She knew something was bothering Isabel, and she only hoped that this would help.

Diane knocked quietly on Isabel’s door and then entered without waiting for an answer. She knew Isabel would ignore her knocking; she hadn’t been very receptive to anyone lately. Surprisingly enough, she was even avoiding her brother Max, and they used to get along so well.

As she entered, Diane noticed her daughter laying across her bed, on her side, with her back to the door. Diane noticed the headphones over her ears, and lightly taped her daughter on the shoulder. Isabel spun around, unaware of her mothers silent intrusion.

“Mom, what are you doing here? I mean…what’s up?”

“Honey,” Diane began, “I know something’s wrong with you. You’ve haven’t been yourself lately. You’ve hardly leave your room, isolating yourself from everyone, even ignoring Max, when you used to be out every night. Please honey, I just want to help. Will you please tell me what’s bothering you?”

“I’m fine mom. Nothing is bothering me. I’ve just been a little tired lately. Stressed out with school and stuff. Junior year is kinda hard,” Isabel lied. She hated lying to her mother, lying to anyone, but what was she supposed to do? ‘Yeah mom, I’m an alien princess from another planet, who was sent here after she died and was reincarnated into a human body. I’m supposedly the reason why we all got killed anyway, betraying my brother and my entire family. Oh yeah, and I just killed a person. But I’m just peachy!’

“Gee sweetie, I didn’t know that you were having trouble in school. Why didn’t you mention something earlier?”

“No mom, it’s not that. I’m just tired, ok?”

“You know what? It sounds like you need a girls night,” Diane suggested.

“Mom, I don’t know…” not wanting to hurt her mother’s feelings.

“Not with me silly,” laughing at her daughter’s sigh of relief. “I know that that wouldn’t be any fun for you. I thought you could have a couple girlfriends over this weekend, you know, have one of those slumber party type things. Your father and I will be going to visit my parents for the weekend, so you’ll have the whole house to yourselves. Maybe it will even make you feel better.”

Smiling slightly at her mother’s suggestion, “Yeah, maybe that is just what I need. Thanks mom.”

Walking down the halls of West Roswell High, Isabel spots Liz and Maria standing together by their lockers. Liz is reaching into her locker, laughing at something Maria had said. Laughing, that’s something that Isabel hasn’t done for a long time. Isabel had always envied Maria and Liz’s friendship. They could tell each other anything. She had always wanted to have that kind of relationship with another person. Sure she had always had Max and Michael, but it just wasn’t the same as having others girls that you could talk to. Someone that you could talk to about girl stuff, like guys…

She was actually starting to become close friends with them, that was, of course, before destiny interfered. Destiny. She was really beginning to hate that word. It is what had torn their little group of six apart. After that, Liz left Max, and then left Roswell for the entire summer, making Max extremely miserable. Maria and Michael were at odds; basically he was ignoring her. And her and Alex…well, she wasn’t quite sure what happened with them. They just sort of seemed to follow everyone’s lead.

Well, this was her chance. She was gonna try to get her friends back. She could have fun for this one weekend. Maybe she could even forget all about Vilandra for the time being.

Isabel approached Liz and Maria with a smile. “Hey guys!”

“Hey Isabel,” Liz replied.

“Hi,” Maria said in acknowledgement, probably sounding a lot colder than she meant to. Besides, it wasn’t her fault the she was destined to be with Michael, the complete asshole!

“So, I was just wondering what you guys were doing this weekend. See, my mom had this wacky idea that I should have some friends over this weekend, ya know, for a girl’s night kind of thing. She’s seems to think that I haven’t been myself lately, or something like that. Anyway, to appease her distressed mind, I agreed to the little gathering. So anyway, the point of this conversation, would you two like to come?”

Liz knew that even though Isabel was playing this off as nothing, that it really did matter to her. She could see it in the way that her eyes were pleading with her to come.

“We’d love to,” Liz said, before Maria could say anything.

“Great,” Isabel grinned, “See you guys Friday at six, ok?”

“That’s fine. See you then.”

As Isabel left, Maria turned to Liz. “But Liz, I thought that we were gonna have our own thing this weekend. You know, you, me and Alex? No aliens allowed!”

“Maria, did you see the look on her face? No matter how much she was brushing it off, you could tell she really wanted it. I think that she needs this Maria. Ever since that thing with Whitaker, she hasn’t been herself. I think it really freaked her out. Besides, Alex will understand.”

“I hope you’re right. But yeah, Isabel probably does need this more then we do.” ‘And I’ll make sure that we’re all able to loosen up a bit this weekend,’ Maria thought to herself with a smile.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“Hey Iz, I’m heading over to Michael’s now. Have fun with your girls night,” Max says, lightly tapping on her door before sticking his head in.

“Alright, great Max. Hey, sorry for kicking you out like this.”

“Hey, don’t worry about. I wouldn’t want to be around anyway, with all the toenail painting and sappy chick movies and girls’ giggling keeping me up till all hours of the night. Sorry, it’s just not my type of thing!”

‘It would be if you knew who was gonna be here,’ Isabel thought to herself. She had conveniently forgot to mention to Max that it would be Liz and Maria who were coming over tonight.

“Ok thanks. See you tomorrow.”

“Bye,” Max said with one look back at his sister. He was glad that she was actually gonna have some fun for once. It was good to see a smile back on her face again.

Notes: I started this story quite a while ago, but never finished. I though that if I posted it and got some feedback then maybe it would inspire me to go on. So Feedback please and tell me if you think I should finish. Also, I need some ideas for male bonding, so that would be a help to.

Part 2:

*Ding Dong*

Isabel hurries to the door with a huge grin on her face, happy to be the hostess of tonight’s little get together. She had heard stories about Liz and Maria’s girl’s nights before, but she had never gotten to be a part of them. Now this was her chance.

Isabel opens the door to see Liz and Maria standing there, bogged down with bags, pillows and blankets.

“Hey guys. Come on in. You can just drop your stuff here for now, we’ll move it upstairs later.”

“Thanks Iz,” Maria says as she drops her stuff immediately inside the door, while Liz carefully places her stuff off to the side, out of the way. After putting her stuff down, Liz begins looking around nervously. Isabel can hardly hold in the laughter, knowing exactly who Liz is looking for.

“Don’t worry Liz. He’s not here.”

“What?” Liz responds, being pulled from her own thoughts.

“Max. He’s not here. He’s spending the night at Michael’s.”

Liz looks both relieved and disappointed at that comment.

“Oh...ok. Whatever. That doesn’t make any difference to me.”

“Uh huh…right,” Maria said with a slight chuckle. She had noticed the look of panic on Liz’s face too.

“Well, why don’t you guys come into the kitchen and we can order pizza,” Isabel offered, trying to change the subject. She’s sure that they will come back to this sometime through the course of the evening, but not right now. Right now she wanted to forget about all the relationship crap and just have fun.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“So, what are we going to do tonight?” Max asks as Michael opens the door to let him in.

“How the hell should I know, this whole little ‘spend quality time together’ thing was your idea.”

“No, it was Isabel’s idea. She’s having some friends over and I was basically told to get out.”

“Being bossed around by your sister now, are you?” Michael asks, a slight smirk showing on his face.

“No, I just think she really needs this right now Michael. She hasn’t been herself since…well you know.”

“Yeah. I guess. Anyway, since I’m providing the place, you get to provide the entertainment.”

“Thanks Michael. You’re such a help.”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The pizza had arrived and the girls were spread out all over Isabel’s room watching 10 Things I Hate About You. Strewn over the floor was a half empty pizza box, several cans of soda, popcorn, chips, gummie bears, pretty much your all out junk food fest. The girls were now all painting their nails, with corresponding colors of course, while drooling over the gorgeous Aussie that played across the screen.

“God, Heath Ledger is so hot!” Maria commented as the movie came to an end.

“Umm hmm. Did you see that smile, it’s to die for!” Isabel added.

“And I just love his accent,” Liz said, blushing as Isabel and Maria looked at her in shock. “What?”

“Nothing, I just never took you as the type to be drooling over actors, that’s all,” Isabel said brushing off the question.

“Well, there’s nothing wrong with admiring a pretty face,” Liz said in her defense.

“Or a body for that matter,” Maria added, grinning slightly.

At Maria’s comment they all burst out into a fit of giggles.

“Oh…it feels good to laugh again!” Isabel said, finally coming back down to earth.

“I know what you mean,” Liz said, “With everything that has been going on lately, I’ve forgotten what it’s like to loosen up, to have fun.”

“How bout we have a little more fun?” Maria said with a mischievous smile.

“What do you mean?” Isabel asked.

With that Maria pulled a bottle of rum out of her bag sitting in the corner of the room. “I took this from the liqueur cabinet this afternoon. Mom never drinks anymore, so she’ll never miss it. What do you say, daiquiris anyone?”

“Maria, I don’t know.”

“Come on Liz, when was the last time we got to loosen up and act like normal teenagers, huh?”

“I’m all for it,” Isabel stated, surprising everyone.

“Really, you’re on my side?” Maria said before correcting herself, “I mean, you’re on my side,” making it a statement instead of a question.

“Alright,” Liz agreed, “What’s the worst that can happen?”

Notes: Ok...time for that feedback. Tell me what you think. Should I continue. Somehow I don't like this story as much as others that I have written, so tell me what you think. Feedback please.

Part 3:

Max and Michael arrived at the movie store on their way back from dinner at the Crashdown. After much deliberation, they had decided to get some movies for tonight and pig out on the ice cream Michael had sitting in the freezer.

As they entered the store, the spotted Alex over in the new releases section and walked over to say hi.

“Hey Alex, what are you doing here?” Max asked.

“Oh hey guys. Well, since the girls decided to abandon me tonight, I’m doing our movie night solo. How bout you guys?”

“Isabel kicked me out of the house, so Michael and I were gonna get some movies. Hey, since you’re on your own for the night, you wanna join us?”

“Sure. Why not? As long as that’s ok with you Michael?”

“Yeah, whatever,” Michael muttered under his breath, “It doesn’t matter to me.”

“Great,” Alex said, “So what did you guys want to see?”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“Wow Maria, these things are great!” Isabel stated, probably a little more excitedly then usual. “Where did you learn to make these?”

“Deluca family secret; lets just say that my mom used to date a bartender.”

At this, all three girls burst into fits of laughter. By this time, the alcohol was beginning to take affect and they were all a little giddier then usual. Ok, lets face it…they were bordering on drunk. Isabel was already there, gone after the first sip, but as Maria and Liz moved on to their second round of daiquiris, they were quickly catching up.

“Hey, I have an idea,” Isabel yelled. “Let’s play truth or dare!”

“YEAH!!!” Maria and Liz both shouted in unison, then burst out into laughter again as they realized that they had spoken at the same time.

After recovering, Isabel said, “Okay, okay…I’ll go first. Maria, truth or dare?”

“Dare.”

“I dare you to go make more of these daiquiris, cause I want one.”

“That’s not a dare. That was so lame, Isabel. Here let me start. Liz, truth or dare?”

“Truth.”

“How did I know you were gonna pick that?” Maria asked.

“Because you’ve played this game with me a thousand times and you know that I always pick truth.”

“Oh yeah…I forgot. Anyway, what is the farthest that you and Max have ever gone?”

“Eewww! I don’t want to hear that about my own brother. That’s just gross!”

“Oh, put a sock in it Isabel. Liz, answer the question.”

“I pass.”

“Pass?!?!?! Liz, you can’t pass. Come on. I know we all want to know. Even if Isabel won’t admit it, I know she wants to know. Come on, it can’t be that bad.”

“Oh yes, it can!”

“What, it’s not like you had sex with him or anything.” At this comment Liz looks away and Maria’s eyes went wide. “You did!!! Oh my gosh! When did this happen? How? Why didn’t you tell me?”

“NO!!” Isabel screamed as she shook her head from side to side. “Very bad mental picture that I did not want to see. Very, very bad!”

“Shut up Isabel,” Maria growled, “Liz talk to me, babe.”

“It happened right before I broke up with him, while we were running from Pierce. We spent the night in this overturned van and we had both just said ‘I love you’ for the first time, and yeah…”

“Wow. And why did you not tell me about this?”

“Cause then this whole destiny thing came up, and I knew that I had to step away from him. So I did. I knew if I told you what happened, you would just blow it way out of proportion, and try and get us back together.”

“Well, I guess you’re right about that since I ended up doing that anyway when you got back from Florida. So…how was he?”

The two humans had begun to sober up from this emotional interlude, but Isabel was still out of it.

“Ok, no. I did not just hear you ask that about Max. Please, spare me the horrendous details.”

“Uh Maria…maybe we should talk about this later.”

“Sure babe, but believe me, we WILL be talking about it. I’m gonna go make some more of those daiquiris, cause these things are starting to wear off. Well…at least more for me and Liz, I think you’ve had enough Isabel.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Isabel stood up, attempting to stare Maria down, and she promptly fell over. The three once again broke out into laughs.

****Feedback please...it will be mightly appreciated. And it may make me feel better since I'm really frusterated because of my computer right now. So please leave your feedback.

Part 4:

Max, Michael and Alex sat around the TV eating ice cream. They had just finished watching Mission to Mars, Alex’s choice.

“Man, that movie was so stupid. That was such a waste of two hours of my life,” Michael states with obvious disgust.

“Sorry, the premise sounded good,” Alex apologized. He really was sorry; the movie was pretty bad.

The guys continued sitting around eating their ice cream in silence, until Alex interrupted. “Alright guys. There has to be something that we can talk about instead of just sitting here acting like strangers.”

“Well, what do you suggest?” Max asked. He was glad someone decided to speak, the silence was beginning to get a little unnerving.

“I don’t know. What do the three of us have in common?” Alex asked. Suddenly a goofy grin came over all of their faces and they all replied in unison, “Girls!” Laughing at how they’d all had the same thought at that exact moment.

“Like, why do they have to be so confusing?” Michael asked. “They never know what they want. I mean one second Maria says she just wants me to be myself and then the next second she’s saying that I’m not being romantic enough. I just don’t get it. And then this whole on-again off-again thing is just screwing with my head.” Michael said as he threw up his hands in exasperation.

“Hey, at least you have a relationship,” Max scoffed at Michael’s comment. “Liz ignores me every chance that she gets. She barely ever talks to me and then when she actually does talk to me, and I try to talk about our relationship, she tenses up and changes the subject. I swear, if I hear ‘Oh by the way, how’s Tess?’ one more time, I’m gonna scream,” Max gets out in exasperation.

“You guys really don’t get it, do you?”

“Oh, and I suppose you do. Huh Alex?”

“As a matter of fact, I do. I knew that being the girls’ best friend for all these years would benefit me in the end.”

“Well, care to enlighten us, oh wise one?” Michael says with mock praise.

“Alright Michael. Maria wants you to be yourself, but she wants you to be the romantic self that she believes, or rather knows, is in there somewhere.”

“That’s it?”

“Yeah man, that’s it. And as for the whole on-again, off-again crap, I don’t believe that that would be Maria’s fault, now would it Michael.”

“Ok, maybe it’s not. But she’s still not helping.”

“Whatever. And stop it with the whole I don’t want to hurt her crap, cause you know that’s what you’re doing right now. Stop listening to your head and listen to your heart. Just let your heart lead you and you’ll know what to do. It’s as simple as that. Now Max’s problem, not so simple. In ways of the heart, Liz is much more complex then Maria.”

“Great,” Max said, now believing that the situation was hopeless.

“Max, did I say I was done? Yes, she may be the more complex, but because of that, I know her better. Now my immediate advice is to keep trying. Never give up on her. She may feign indifference, but she really loves you. And believe it or not, she waivers a little more with each attempt you make at getting her back. Secondly, she’s waiting for you to prove not only that you want her and that you love her, but that you need her. I don’t think that she knows that yet. You have to be brutally honest with her. Tell her how you feel. Tell her everything Max. I mean it. This girl can tell when you’re hiding emotions from her like no other. She’ll know if you’re not telling the whole truth, and that’s what she needs to hear right now.”

“Wow, Alex, you’re good. Where did you learn all this?”

“Years of observation, my boys. Watching the girls through every relationship. Being their shoulder to cry on, their comfort. Listening to their feelings. Learning them inside and out. It also helps that they’re my best friends, and best friends never keep secrets. Well, almost never. Hey, and guys. Don’t you dare hurt them! Don’t make me come after you!”

“Oh no, Whitman’s gonna get us Max, what are we gonna do?”

“Oh, can it Michael. I’m serious. They mean the world to me, and I can’t bear to see them heartbroken…again.”

“It’s alright Alex, we got it,” Max replied with a guilty tone.

“Good. Now, if only my knowledge extended to Isabel, then I’d be all set.”

“Alex, I really don’t think that you’ve got anything to worry about. Isabel may not be the best at showing her feelings, after so many years of keeping them hidden, but she cares for you a lot. It’s only a matter of time before she realizes how much you mean to her. You just need to be patient. Persistence always helps too,” Max said reassuringly.

Alex suddenly gave a short laugh. The other two looked at him oddly until he explained.

“I just think that it’s funny, ya know. Just replace you two with Maria and Liz and my evening is exactly like I’d originally planned. But no, alas they had to ditch me for Isabel,” Alex said with a mock sigh. He really was enjoying this. It wasn’t often that Alex got to hang out with just the guys.

“Wait a minute,” Max said. “They’re having their girl’s night with ISABEL? As in my sister, Isabel?”

“Yeah man, she’s the only Isabel I know.”

“So they’re at my house, right now, at this very minute?”

“Yeah, I thought you knew that.”

“Do you really think that I would be here if I did?”

“The man’s got a point Alex,” Michael said, clearly amused. He knew how bad Max had it for Liz. He had it just as bad for Maria.

“Well, what are we standing around here for?” Max asked. “Let’s get over there.”

“I think you are forgetting one small thing Maxwell.”

“Yeah, and what’s that?”

“You promised Isabel that you would stay away tonight,” Michael said, matter-of-factly.

“We’ll think of an excuse on the way over, now come on.”

Michael slowly followed Max as he stormed out the door. Isabel was gonna get it. Max was not happy with the fact that she withheld such pertinent information. Oh well, this would be interesting. And he would get to see Maria after all.

*Feedback Please. I really want to know what you guys think, since this was definately the most difficult part of the story. I don't take part in guy bonding, I don't know what to do... So please tell me what you think...I'll be looking forward to it.

Part 5:

“Ooh, ooh ooh. I got one!” Maria said excitedly. The girls were now plastered. At first they would get up to do their dares, but after stumbling one too many times, they had settled on a simple game of truth. “But this one is only for Isabel.”

“Hey, how come I get left out?” Liz pouted.

“Cause this is only for people who haven’t done the little nasty dance, and that kinda leaves you out now, don’t it?”

“I guess,” Liz sulked

“Ok Isabel, who do you want to lose your virginity to? And I mean a real person, no celebrity or anything, someone it could really happen with.”

“Alex,” Isabel said immediately, without even thinking. “Did I just say that out loud?”

“Fraid so babe,” Liz said. “Well, hey, now we know how ya really feel about him.”

“Wohoo. Isabel and Alex. That is so cute!” Maria exclaimed.

“How bout you Maria?” Isabel asked.

“Well duh, you’d think that was obvious. Michael, of course. I was only like stalking him all summer.” They all laughed hysterically at that.

“Ok,” Liz began, “I have a serious question.”

“Are you saying that my question was not serious?”

“Yes Maria, your question was not serious.”

“Ok, just checking.”

“First, Maria. Why do you keep chasing after Michael? And Iz, why did you break up with Alex?”

“I’ll go first,” Maria stated. “Because I love the bastard.”

“Simple enough, Isabel?”

“I don’t know. I guess I was scared. Afraid of hurting him, or myself. Afraid of this stupid destiny that I was supposed to uphold. Afraid of Vilandra.”

“Wait, who’s Vilandra?” Maria asked.

“Oh. Well, she’s me…or she was me…or I’m her…or who I used to be…something like that. Apparently I betrayed Max in our past life, and I’m the reason that we all got killed,” Isabel rattled off as if it were nothing.

“Wow, no wonder you’ve been kinda off lately.” Liz said

“Off, off? Who said that I’ve been off?”

“Well, it’s kinda obvious Iz.” Maria said.

“Oh, yeah. Well, I guess I learned that after I broke up with him, so I guess that can’t be a reason, can it?”

“Ah….whatever. Ok Liz, your turn. Why’d you break up with Max?”

“Cause he needed to go figure out his destiny or whatever, and I wasn’t a part of that, and I didn’t want to distract him.”

“So, Max has already decided that he’s not gonna be with Tess. So why won’t you take him back?” Isabel wonders.

“Well, just between us, I’ve decided to take Max back. I’m just waiting for him to do the whole romantic ‘win me back’ thing.”

Little did they all know, that the guys had arrived just in time for Max to hear that little tidbit of information. He couldn’t be happier. He’d almost forgot how mad he was at Isabel for hiding this from him. ALMOST. After waiting a few seconds, and receiving the silent congratulations from his buddies, the three burst into the room and surveyed the mess around them.

There were food packages spread out everywhere. Spilt chips, popcorn, and gummie bears littered the ground. There were several empty glasses laying around, and the pitcher from a blender that was looking like it had some kind of smoothie in it.

Before Max could say anything, Liz was in his arms with her lips pressed firmly against his. They kissed deeply for several moments, until they were interrupted by Michael clearing his throat.

“Hello Max!” Liz said, as if what had just happened was the most natural thing in the world.

“Uh Liz, have you been drinking?”

“Just a little bit,” Liz said, while showing him her fingers about an inch apart.

“Uh huh. Ok. You sit down right here, k,” Max said as he placed her down on the bed. “Ok, stay there, and I’ll be right back. Isabel, can I have a word with you?”

“You just did,” Isabel states matter-of-factly.

“Just let me have a few more. Out here in the hallway.”

“Ok,” Isabel said as she got up and stumbled toward him.

Once they are outside, Max begins, “Uh, Iz, why were you guys drinking?”

“Cause we wanted to.”

“Uh huh. And you remember what I told you happens to us when we even touch alcohol?”

“Yup”

“And you did it anyway?”

“Uh huh. Max, does this conversation have a point, cause it takes a really lot of effort to stand up?” Isabel asked tiredly.

“Not right now it doesn’t. We’ll finish this in the morning, when you’re sober. Oh, Iz, just one more thing. WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME LIZ WOULD BE OVER TONIGHT?”

“Cause I didn’t want to watch you trying to grope her all night.”

‘Fair enough,’ he thought. Cause he couldn’t promise that that wasn’t what he would have tried to do.

Max nodded his head and they returned to the bedroom. He helped Isabel down onto the floor and then turned to Michael and Alex. “Alright, lets each take one and try to sober them up. I’ve got Liz.”

“Of course you do,” Michael smirked as Max picked up Liz and carried her out of the room. Then he turned to Alex, “I’ll get Maria; you get Isabel.” With that, Michael picked up Maria and carried her down to the kitchen.

“Alright,” Alex said, talking to himself. “How the hell am I going to do this?”

Notes: *Feedback Please* Alright, I know that they seem to be having some majorly serious conversations for drunk girls, but just consider it that they lost all their inhibitions. It was necessary for the progression of the story. Coming up next, what happens when the couples are off on their own. The more feedback I get, the sooner I get the next part up. I could actually put up the next part sometime later tonight, but you guys all have to convince me. I'll be waiting.

Part 6:

Max had taken Liz into his room in an attempt to sober her up a little, but the minute he sat them down on his bed, Liz attacked him and began kissing him hungrily. Max succumbed for a while, but then came to his senses. ‘She’s drunk, she’s not thinking clearly, this isn’t what she really wants.’

“Liz….Liz,” he said in between kisses. “Come on Liz, we need to stop this.”

Liz stops abruptly and gives him a confused look. “Why?”

“Cause I want to talk to you, and I can’t do that when you’re kissing me.”

“Ok,” Liz said and sat back on his bed with her legs crossed, slightly bouncing with her giddiness. Max couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight; she looked so innocent.

“Well, that was easier then I thought,” Max muttered to himself before addressing Liz. “Liz, honey, you know we’re broken up, right?”

“Uh huh.”

“And you know that broken up people don’t usually kiss?”

“Right.”

“Then why were you kissing me?”

“Cause I like kissing you Max. You’re yummy!”

“Uh…I like kissing you too, but that’s something people do when they’re together.”

“Then why aren’t we together?”

“I think you need to answer that question for yourself. You’re the one that broke up with me, remember?”

“Oh, well then I take it back,” Liz said as she began kissing him again.

“Wait, just like that, you take it back?”

“Yup.”

With that she’s kissing him again and he responds with equal longing and equal force. After several minutes, Max breaks away. “We need to stop this, you’re drunk and you’re not thinking straight. I know this isn’t what you really want.”

“What, you don’t want me any more?” Liz says with a wounded expression on her face.

“No Liz! Trust me. I would never NOT want you. It’s taking everything I have to stop myself right now.”

Opps, that was probably the wrong thing to say. With that Liz grabbed Max around the neck, pulled him closer to her, and whispered in his ear, “I want you to make love to me.”

That statement was quickly degrading Max’s resolve. Does she understand what that statement just did to him? He was trying so hard to keep himself from touching her, kissing her.

“Liz, I…” But he didn’t get to finish his sentence, cause she silenced him with her lips. Max finally relented, losing himself in the moment, the two laid back on his bed, never breaking the kiss.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Alex was still with Isabel, in her room, trying to figure out what to do.

“Come on Isabel. Let me help you up onto the bed,” he said as he helped her up off the floor. “How do you feel? Do you need anything? Do you want to lie down? How can I help?”

“Alex, will you kiss me?”

“What?!?!?!”

“I asked you to kiss me. I miss your kisses. I’ve been waiting for a long time for you to kiss me again, but I guess that I just pushed you away one too many times,” Isabel said with a sad look on her face.

Alex grabbed Isabel by the chin, lifting her face to his, and gave her the longest, hardest, most passionate kiss he’d ever given. Who could resist a request like that?

When they broke apart, Isabel opened her eyes and found herself looking into the gorgeous eyes of Alex Whitman.

“Alex, what are you doing here?” Isabel asked, slightly confused. The last thing she remembered she was with Liz and Maria.

“You don’t remember anything, do you?” Alex said a little sad, Liz had told him about this. The Czechoslovakians never remember anything that happens when they’re drunk.

“No.”

“You and Maria and Liz got drunk tonight.”

“Oh my gosh. Are they ok? Where are they?” Isabel asked worriedly. ‘God, how could she have been so stupid. Max had warned her time and time again about the affect alcohol had on them. What if something happened and it was all her fault? Why would Alex be here if something hadn’t happened?’ Isabel thought, ‘No. I can’t think like that. I’m sure they’re fine. At least, I hope…’

“They’re fine. They’re with Michael and Max.”

Isabel let out a sigh of relief; they were ok. “Alex, I want you to tell me what happened tonight. Everything. I don’t want to be like Max and never know.”

“Alright Iz, but I can only tell you what I know. You’ll have to ask Liz and Maria about the rest, although I don’t know how reliable they are gonna be. You were all pretty out of sit when we got here.”

Michael had taken Maria downstairs to the kitchen and was silently trying to figure out how the coffee pot worked. After several failed attempts, he found some of that instant stuff in one of the cabinets and put a kettle on to boil. He turned around to find Maria laid back in the chair with a contented look on her face.

“How ’bout some coffee Blondie?”

She didn’t answer right away, but then turned to him and questioned, “Michael?”

“Yeah.”

“Does this mean that you’re talking to me again?”

He couldn’t help but smirk at her question. It’s true. He had been ignoring her lately, but it was all for her own good. He was just trying to keep her safe. It was funny how she always managed, no matter how hard he fought against it, to find a way back to him.

“Yeah, I guess it does.”

“Good, cause I have so much to tell you.”

“Like what?”

“Like I know why Isabel has been acting so weird.”

“Well, what are ya waiting for? Spill it.”

“Keep your shirt on space boy. Hmmm. On second thought, forget that. I like you with your shirt off.”

“Woah, down girl! Let’s just start with what you learned about Isabel.”

“Ok. Well, apparently she knows something about her past life. You know, the one where you and her were together. Which is greatly upsetting me by the way! But anyway, her name was Vilandra, I think, or something like that and she said that she betrayed you and Max. That she was the reason that you all got killed. So I think that she was kinda upset about that.”

Michael didn’t know what to say. How could Isabel have betrayed them? She wasn’t the same Isabel then. Michael couldn’t help but smirk at how Maria told the story. She acted as if it was just nothing and not the reason for her friend’s emotional turmoil. Hey this could be fun. Who knows what else he could get out of Maria?

“Any other little interesting tidbits of information you picked up this evening?”

“Yup. I know something you don’t know.”

“Well, what is it?”

“I’m not telling; a girl has to have some secrets after all.”

“Whatever blondie,” he said as he went over to the stove to make her coffee.

After a short moment of silence, Maria began, “Michael, guess what?”

“What?” Michael said as he sat down, setting the coffee in front of her.

“Max and Liz did it.”

“What?!?!”

“They had sex.”

“What! When did this happen?”

“Before they broke up. When they were running from Pierce.”

“Obviously they weren’t running the whole time,” Michael mutters under his breath.

“Don’t be mad Michael.”

“Well, why the hell not? Max Evans, Mr. Saint Evans, gave into his urges…but if it was me…you gotta believe that I would get a talking to. But he does it, and it’s all ok? Not only that, but he doesn’t even bother to tell me about it.”

“But it wouldn’t be you, cause you don’t love me like that,” Maria said, looking down at the table with a hurt look on her face.

“What? Where the hell did you get an idea like that? Of course I love you like that,” Michael said without even thinking.

“You do?” Maria asked, with a hopeful look in her eyes.

‘Well, there was no backing out now,’ Michael thought. “Yeah. I do.”

“Awww. Michael, that’s so sweet. You know I love you too, don’t you?”

“I do now,” Michael said as he leaned down to kiss her.

After their kiss, Maria looks at him, then jumps up and yells, “Music!” as she runs to the radio.

Michael just laughs and gets up to follow her, glad to have this pixie girl back in his life.

Part 7:

“Wait….wait Liz. We should really stop,” Max says, breaking out of their passionate embrace.

“But Max…I…don’t…wanna…stop,” Liz says while kissing and nipping down his neck.

“No, Liz,” Max says pushing her away and holding her at arms length, “You know I love you. And I want this, I really do, but not now. Not like this. Not when your drunk. I want to be sure that this is what you really want and that this isn’t just the alcohol talking.”

Liz was looking down now, her face mirroring the sadness he felt. No, he wasn’t gonna take advantage of her like that. Suddenly, her head perked up and she yelled, “Music” as she quickly ran out the door of his room and down the stairs. ‘Obviously she doesn’t seem too broken up about it,’ he thought as he followed her to the living room.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Max got downstairs to find Maria and Liz singing and dancing around to the song “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” on the radio, with a baffled and amused Michael sitting on the couch across the room. He spotted Max and came over to him.

“Do you know what the hell just happened here?” Max asked.

“Hey, you’re the one with all the experience,” Michael replied with a slight grin. “Max, I think it’s time we had a little talk.”

“Ok,” Max said as he followed Michael into the kitchen where they could have some privacy but still keep an eye on the girls.

“I figured out what’s wrong with Isabel,” Michael blurted, might as well get straight down to business.

“You did! How?”

“Maria.”

“I guess mom was right, these girl’s nights do help.”

Michael then proceeded to tell Max everything that Maria had told him. Max was in shock. How could she be worried about something like that? I mean, yeah, it hurt. But she was different now. She was Isabel, not Vilandra.

“I think she just needs us to be supportive right now and show her that we care,” Max said as Michael finished.

“Yeah, that’s what I was thinking too.” As Max turned around and was about to go back out to the living room with the girls, Michael stopped him. “Hey, there’s something else that Maria told me.”

“Yeah, what was that?”

“Something about you and Liz. Is there something you’d like to tell me Maxwell?”

Max was panicked for a minute. No, he couldn’t know about that. Could he? Not wanting to divulge any unnecessary information, he played ignorant.

“Not that I can think of.”

“Oh come on Max. I know you know what I’m talking about. So you fucked her, huh? You had sex with Liz Parker, and you didn’t even bother to tell me?”

“It just kinda happened Michael, and it didn’t exactly look like it was gonna happen again, considering she left me, so I kept my mouth shut.”

“Ya know, if it was me, you would be giving me the longest lecture on responsibility imaginable.”

“Yeah, I probably would.”

“But, I’m not you Max.” Michael chuckled. “I still find it hilariously funny. Max the saint, had sex. Who knew that you would be the first one to take the leap? So Max, details.”

“Michael, can we not talk about this now. Liz and Maria have gotten awfully quiet, I’m starting to get worried.”

“Right,” Michael said, remembering why they were there in the first place. “But later Maxwell, we are going to have a long talk.”

When the two walked back into the living room they found both Maria and Liz passed out on the couch. Max lifted Liz up and settled her into his lap, needing to keep her safe. Michael did the same with Maria, and they both feel asleep with their loves in their arms.

Part 8:

The next morning, Alex and Isabel came downstairs to find everyone else. They had spent half the night talking. They talked about everything. Alex told her everything he knew about what had happened the night before, Isabel told him everything about Vilandra and what she had learned over the past few weeks, and then they talked about the direction that their relationship was heading. They had decided to try it again, but of course Isabel still wanted to take it slow. Eventually, around 3am they fell asleep in each other’s arms.

When they entered the living room, they weren’t surprised to see the other four asleep on the couch. They quietly went into the kitchen to get something to eat, but there silent pursuit woke up Max. He just smiled at them and put his finger up to his lips, motioning for them to stay quiet. They made a quick wave and continued their way into the kitchen.

Max looked down at the beauty sleeping in his arms. God he loved her. He was afraid of what would happen when she woke up. Would she still feel the same way that she had last night, or would she reject him again? He knew that he shouldn’t be thinking about that right now. He should be glad that she was ok, but he couldn’t help but wonder.

Liz began to stir, pulling herself out of a deep sleep. She hadn’t slept this good in months. Not since the night that she and Max… She opened her eyes and found herself staring up into the soulful eyes of Max Evans. “mmm…Max,” she murmured, wiping the sleep from her eyes. Then realizing where she was, “Max! What are you doing here?”

“Don’t you remember? You and Maria and Isabel were having your little girl’s night…and you guys kinda got drunk, real drunk.”

It all came rushing back to her. “Oh my god. I’m so embarrassed. I can’t believe I acted that way. Oh my gosh Max, I’m so sorry. I’m not usually like that. God, you must hate me. I was like all over you.”

“Oh trust me Liz, I don’t hate you. What you did last night could never make me hate you. It was a little surprising, I admit, but believe me when I say that you being all over me was not a bad thing. I can’t say that I didn’t enjoy it at least just a little bit.”

“Thank you.”

“For what?”

“For not letting me do anything last night. Your right, it wouldn’t have been the same if I was drunk when it happened. But I must say, I’m feeling a little rejected here,” Liz said with a playful smirk.

“Well, I guess I’ll just have to make it up to you then,” Max says as he brought his lips to hers.

“Gee, could you guys be any louder,” Michael said rousing from his sleep.

“Oh Liz, I forgot to ask. How are you feeling?” Max asked.

“I’m feeling fine, no headache or anything.”

“Stop it with the shouting,” Maria said as she opened her eyes. “Ow, someone shut off the sun!”

“Rise and shine blondie,” Michael said with a smirk on his face.

“There is no way I’m gonna be doing any shining today. My head feels like it’s in a vice.”

“Somebody’s got a hangover,” Max said laughing.

“Ha ha ha, Max. Very funny. What about you miss sunshine?” Maria asked, pointing the last question at Liz.

“I feel just great. Never been better.”

“Of course, I would be the one to get the han… Wait. Did you just say, ‘never been better’? Does that mean that you and prince charming are back together?”

“Yeah, I guess it does,” Liz answered.

“Are you all just gonna sit around there and talk, or are you coming in to get some breakfast?” Isabel shouted, poking her head in from the kitchen.

“Stop it with the loud voices!” Maria yelled, while everyone laughed through her discomfort. “It is NOT funny!”

“Well Maria, it’s your own fault. It was your idea in the first place,” Liz commented.

“Why am I not surprised?” Michael laughed.

Maria smacked him upside the head. “There will be no snide remarks at my expense today, thank you,” Maria stated and she left to walk into the kitchen.

Michael followed her, and then Liz turned to Max. “You know, I meant what I said last night.”

“About what?”

“Everything.” And with that Liz strutted into the kitchen, leaving a bewildered and very happy Max behind her.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The six all ate breakfast together, talking and joking, just like old times. No one thought about destiny or evil aliens or how they’d all have to face that tomorrow when they went back to life as ‘normal.’ They were just a group of teenagers having fun. As they finished their breakfast they all just sat there lazily. Maria was beginning to feel better, after about 5 Tylenol, and was back to her old quirky self. Suddenly Liz turned to Max, and whispered something in his ear. Max’s face turned bright red and he had the biggest grin stuck on his face.

“Uh…Liz and I are still kinda tired. So, we’re gonna go up to my room and…rest.”

With that Max and Liz got up from the table and hurried up the stairs to his room. Maria and Michael couldn’t help but laugh.

“Yeah right. Three guesses as to what they’re doing,” Maria gasped.

“I don’t need three,” Michael said in between laughter.

“Ok. Did I miss something?” Isabel said, clueless as to the reason for their laughter.

“Oh, man. I have so much to tell you Isabel,” Maria said, going into gossip mode.

“It’s official. She’s fine, the gossip queen is back.” That earned Michael another smack on the head. They all burst out into laughter once again, happy to be together once again.

The End
